It is a wonderful and peaceful place to stay for a few days or just for a night if you are on one of the GR long distance trails. We stayed here for one night in one of their cosy cottages. It was very clean, comfortable and very quiet. We wish we could come back here as the hosts, Ellen and Günther were extremely wonderful. All the meals we had were very delicious and could highly recommend it. If you are a hiker they can prepare a generous picnic lunch as well. We can honestly recommend this place, you will be looked after well. Thank you for everything! Niké & Jacint

Nice functional cottage with all necessities for own basic cooking, nice bed and bed-couch; very good shower and nice food and local and belgian beers. Professional advise for hiking tours was a great + for us! An ideal location for a 1 week trip with hikingtours in the area with fixed location. Also very suitable for longer periods of time and even more sightseeing.

We camped at the Silence du Midi overnight during our walk of the Sentier Cathare. The place is a Gite, camping ground, restaurant and bar. The owners were friendly, helpful and hospitable. The bar was great for relaxing after our walk from Montferrier. The camping ground was soft turf compared with the super-hard aggregate of dedicated camp sites. We had a buffet breakfast the following morning for 12 euros a head.

De passage dans le coin .je venais prendre un café. J APPREND QUE LE RESTAURANT N OUVRE QU A 14 H ! Je suis dans mon van pour regarder ma prochaine route et j utilise le WC camping .Le gérant s est mis à m insulter en me virant.j ai 56 ans avec un t6 .et rien de foufou ...merci le coin tranquile . Je sais que vous allez répliquer ...allez y continuer à être sympathique .vous allez faire faire les touristes.!

Un coin sympa et vraiment tranquille de montagne. Accueil chaleureux. Excellent pour se reposer! Situé en plein pays cathare. Nombreuses visites à faire . Points de vues magnifiques sur les montagnes environnantes.

Ce fut ma 3ème étape sur les sentiers Cathare durant la première semaine d’Avril 2023. J’avais prévu un bivouac mais la pluie et le froid m’en ont empêché. J’ai appelé la veille pour y passer une nuit. Les hôtes m’ont accepté sans réservation. J’ai eu le dortoir à moi tout seul et un sacré dîner avec entrée, plat, dessert ainsi qu’un petit déjeuner bien varié. Les hôtes ont été très acceuillant, on a pu pas mal discuter du coin, de leur histoire… Je recommande ce gîte à tous randonneurs de passage. Pierre G.

Je n'ai pas fréquenté ni le camping ou l’hôtel. Je ne peux par émettre d'avis sur les repas individuels, car je n’ai fréquenté le restaurant qu'au cours d'un repas de groupe. Un groupe d'une trentaine de personnes venues à Comus dans le cadre d'une conférence sur l'histoire du maquis dans la Haute Vallée de l'Aude. Nous n’étions donc pas un groupe d'excités. Plusieurs retraités haut gradés de l'armée étaient parmi nous. L'accueil par le propriétaire a été assez désagréable. Peut-être que le nombre de convives annoncés ne correspondait pas aux présents. Je ne sais pas. Mais nous avons eu droit à des remarques peu amènes de la part du patron, tout particulièrement au moment de régler l'addition. Un exemple, un des participants s'est vu qualifier de personne malpolie pour avoir demander une sauce de salade sans vinaigre. Ce que le patron a refusé de faire. C'est dommage parce que le repas était bon. C'est aussi dommage pour l'établissement car pour les prochaines conférences données dans le secteur, nous choisirons un autre restaurant.

Rien d autre à dire que au top... Un Havre de paix qui fait tellement de bien. Super accueil et en plus on peut venir avec nos toutous... On reviendra sans hésiter... Pour boire une bonne bière près du poêle...
