Novotel Arica

The location near the beach and attentive staff were highly praised. Guests enjoyed comfortable, spacious rooms with great views and modern amenities. However, there were no specific disadvantages mentioned in the reviews.

I didn’t stay at the Novotel, but I dined at their on-site restaurant for dinner while in Arica for the night. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the service was friendly, albeit on the slower side. Moreover, Wifi didn’t work at first, and it took a bit to troubleshoot the issue with it. In the end, I managed to get a signal. Provided the Internet connects more rapidly, I would return to the Novotel’s restaurant in the future (and perhaps actually stay at the hotel, too!).

We stayed for 26 days from the end of December 2022 to mid-January 2023. Overall our stay was excellent. With this length of stay there are bound to be some minor dissatisfactions. We booked a top end room which lived up to all expectations, lovely view of the Pacific Ocean and also onto the hills behind. The room was serviced daily and very clean. Good furniture and fittings as the hotel is only 1 year old. The hotel reception staff couldn't have been more helpful from the moment Alphonso checked us in at 2am. They spoke good English and did translations for us, helped with the organisation of a trip to Lake Chungara and nothing was too much trouble for the whole team. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate and the restaurant always had clean tables to sit at. We were especially lucky to meet Krystel who served us very well along with several of her colleagues. Service time was sometimes a little slow which was disappointing. Food quality was good. Good WiFi throughout A great place to escape the European winter.
