Zakantha Beach

This was our 2nd time at this hotel, it's now classed as 4 * so €10 per night, per room tax.. thus was definitely not a 4* hotel maybe 3 at most, breakfast was mediocre, rooms ckean but dated, out balcony door was broke so AC didn't work for first few days until they came and sorted it, the shower was powerful but the bath didn't drain and water was pooling around ankles. The hotel was bar open till 1am but the bar tender was never at the bar and sometimes had to go looking for him. Pool and sunbeds where nice.. last time we stayed at this hotel it was actually nice but definitely not the same 3 years later, quality has dropped yet star rating gone up.. we will return to argassi but not to this hotel

Just rented sunbeds on the beach outside the beach bar and hotel - good price of €12 for 2 beds and an umbrella. We had drinks and lunch here, great omlette and they were happy to make the club sandwich without meat for my daughter. Great service and reasonable prices - definitely can recommend.

We found the hotel through a travel agency, and everything was as described. It is located on the main street of Argassi, 10 minutes from the capital, where you can find everything you need within a few minutes: a supermarket, tavern, pharmacy, souvenir shop, bars, gas station, car rental, but the accommodation is quiet despite the good infrastructure. It has its own pool and beach access, and there are many sun loungers in the spacious courtyard. Unfortunately, you have to pay for your own beach loungers here too, but you can still find free beds in the garden in the morning. The continental breakfast is plentiful, and they pay attention to constantly replenishing the stock. During the day, you can have a drink and a meal at the pool bar, and there is also a bar open in the evening if someone doesn't want to go out. The staff is very helpful, they speak English well, and some of them also know Hungarian phrases and try to communicate in a way that is very nice. The cleanliness is impeccable, the rooms are cleaned every day, they do a high-quality job. The room is quite spacious, the bed is comfortable. There is air conditioning, which you don't have to pay extra for. It wasn't relevant for us, but the hotel has its own parking lot, with relatively many spaces. There is also a billiard table in the communal area. There is also a small pool for children next to the gradually deepening large pool, and the sea also gradually deepens, the beach is pleasant and sandy, an ideal holiday destination for families with small children.

Very welcoming as soon as I arrived. Very quick and efficient check in. Room was clean and tidy. Overall a very nice place to stay. Would go back.

Stayed here for a week. Asked for a sea view and got one. All the staff were kind helpful and friendly. Rooms were cleaned everyday, had a slight issue with the air conditioning that broke down but we were given a portable one for the night and the next day it was fixed. I don’t understand some of the negative reviews on here as we certainly didn’t have any issues. Our only gripe were some of the other guests who insisted on putting towels out by the pool to reserve the sun beds despite it telling you not to do it. We just went to the beach instead as we prefer swimming in the sea anyway. Rather pay 12 euros to have peace and quiet on the beach. Oh and there was nothing wrong with the breakfast either plenty of choice both hot and cold. We throughly enjoyed our weeks stay.

Came to an end of our one week stay at Zakantha beach hotel. The location is great like close to beach, not biggest beach ever but has sand. Cost of 2 sunbeds with umbrella and table as of May 25 is €12. My opinion as they rate of 4 star should be free for customers, there is a beach bar with food next to beach where can buy stuff. The staff are friendly like very and polite, rooms clean they came everyday and clean and mop. There isn’t any entertainment or music at all, kids pool I won’t even count it as very minimalist big pool ok. Air con is free July and August only the rest is €7/ day. Again as 4 star hotel should be free of charge, we had to sleep with balcony door open and hear the motors and all noise from street. Room size is not that big but end of day you there just to sleep, needs refurbished and looks quite old. This hotel is mostly for pensioners not for young families. End of story I would rate this hotel at Max 3 stars
