Windmill Hotel

I booked this hotel based on the good reviews and was not disappointed. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned daily and to a high standard. Air-conditioning was extra but we knew that before arrival so it wasn't a problem. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Pool area was clean with comfy sun loungers. The pool bar was cosy and drinks were very reasonably priced. There was no entertainment as it was approaching the end of season but again we expected that. The hotel is set back up a slight hill but is only a short walk to the shops and tavernas, in the lovely resort of Argassi. I've stayed in all singing all dancing 5 star hotels, many of which fall short. But I would choose to stay in this 2 star hotel with a much deserved 5 star customer rating every time. What an absolute gem of a find and thank you to all the Windmill Staff for a wonderful stay xxx

Late booking for some end of season sun. Two couples with different needs. Mine being a couple of new knees! We had a ground floor room with pool view. The other was a 1st floor room with pool and sea view. We eye both expecting garden view rooms so it was a nice bonus. Rooms basic but with good beds and bathrooms- what more do you need. Pool area nice but was busy at times with some people reserving beds! Just don’t be selfish, especially if you don’t intend to use them until the afternoon! Pool lovely but cold initially as you get in (end sept) but fine after 1st minute. Breakfast had plenty of choice and all nice. No need for anyone to go without. All staff lovely especially Christina, but watch out for her 🕷️ joke! 😅🤣 Cafe area good with good selection of good and drinks at reasonable prices. Hotel up a short drive with slight incline but manageable. Just off the main ***** to loads of shops and restaurants. Being slightly off the main road meant the hotel was peaceful. I imagine some of the other hotels on the main road can be noisy. Good base on the island for exploring if you like to get about with access to the (fun) train, bus and taxis. Bus to Zante €2 each way. Would highly recommend this hotel and looking to book again next year, knowing I’ll be able to get about (with a new knee hopefully!).

We arrived on 28th September for a week. We arrived around 10pm short transfer. We were given room 417 on the 2nd floor. There was a lift in this block where the reception is. The room overlooked trees and you could see the sea. Room had a modern bathroom which I was presently surprised. My only issue was when you had a shower the whole bathroom floor was soaked. I asked for a mop and bucket to be left on the room but was told they would leave extra towels. Had a fridge, kettle, toaster snd 2 ring hob. Clean towels everyday and cleaner. Staff was Very friendly and helpful. Free wifi , paid safe and aircon. Nice pool loungers and pool. Pool bar great food. Great location. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. Found it quite at night. Breakfast was good. So all round a great 2 star hotel which I think should be 3. Keep up the great work.

Had a lovely relaxing week at the end of September. On arrival at the Windmill Hotel we were allocated room 215 which overlooked the pool and had a sea view. We'd booked a garden room view with Jet2 Holidays so the room we got was an unexpected bonus. The hotel is at one end of the Argassi ***** but an easy walk to bars and restaurants. It's close both to Legends and The Green Frog which both have live music every night. Rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels provided. Staff were all friendly and pleasant. Special shout out to Christina behind the pool bar who was so hard working and friendly with everyone. Plus she helped us improve our Greek beyond Yamas. Breakfast was something for everyone, both hot and cold food. Food and drink at the pool bar was good quality and reasonably priced. No problem getting sunbeds. Air con in the room was good, 10 euros a day but was aware of that in advance. Couldn't get any English channels on the TV but took a firestick which connected easily to the hotel WiFi although didn't really need it. Room came with a kettle, toaster, hairdryer and two ring hob.

Hope this review helps anyone deciding where to stay in beautiful Argassi. We have been many times and first time at The Windmill, upon arrival the reception staff were so very friendly and welcoming. Our room 210 was on the ground floor with a garden view, the room was basic as expected but very clean and everything we needed for our stay, we spend little time in our room. The pool area is immaculate and no issue with sun beds. Breakfast there is something for everyone and clean and replenished regularly, toast, croissants, bacon, eggs, yoghurt, cakes, juice etc, more fresh fruit would have been good. Shout out to Christine who worked everywhere with a smile, great stay, short walk to the main Argassi *****. Room would benefit from walk in shower but was not a show stopper for us. To mention, kettle, hairdryer, fridge, microwave, hot plate available in the room, pool towels are also available at an extra cost. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Hope this review is helpful.

What a beautiful hotel. My friend & I booked this hotel on the reviews & they didn't fail. Perfect location just a very short walk along to the bars & restaurants. The staff were so friendly & helpful, our room was nipping clean.. every day cleaned with fresh towels. Our maid was the loveliest of ladies. Breakfast was delicious & plentiful. Bar/snack bar & pool absolutely perfect. A short taxi ride into Zante town €10 which was better than waiting for the bus & the timetable is wrong. Highly recommended a family run restaurants Red Wine, the food was delicious & excellent friendly service. Thank you to all the staff at the Windmill for our fabulous week.
