The breakfast was included, and on their site they tell it's in the room . Since we had a terrace, we anticipated we would have a breakfast there, with a nice view. When we came, we were said that the policy changed and we would get cards for the Branco coffee shop instead, and that for breakfast we needed to go to the coffee shop... First day it took us for a while to find this coffee shop (there are a lot of little streets there, and what is obvious for the hotel host, it's not so obvious for us ). Finally, when we found this coffee shop, they gave us for breakfast... coffee and croissant. The main thing for me in the morning is coffee, so it was good, but coffee and croissant is not a breakfast... this is a coffee and croissant...

We arrived without a reservation and were shown a small room at the top of the stairs. This building is from the 600's and it was thrilling to be in it. Room was very clean with a small table and chair, small sofa and large bathroom. We then attempted to find a parking place and were unable, so we returned to the hotel and asked for advice. We were told that we could cancel, but because we drove our car to the hotel (located in the pedestrian zone) that we would be fined 86 euros and we still had to no parking place. Reception didn't seem to care about our dilemma but a man crossed the street and offered to help us understand that it is common practice to call a garage and have an attendant taxi over to pick up a rental car and drive it to the garage and the next day we could call the garage and they would deliver our car back to us and then we would not get a ticket. The cost was 20 euros for the pick up, 40 euros for the parking garage and then another 20 euros for our car delivery. We saved a few euro by calling a taxi ourselves to retrieve our car, but the who incident was a learning experience, to say the least. The hotel, although so historic, really had little friendly service, but the town itself was gorgeous at night and we enjoyed being able to walk around and have the hotel so close.

An amazing experience with an apartment in a mediaeval building overlooking the main square in Arezzo. Virtually no tourists and no buses. By chance it was the time for the 6 monthly Jousting tournament and we watched the practice days from our apartment window plus band practice. The apartment was comfortable with stove, microwave and dishwasher plus a modern ensuite and breakfast provided at a cafe across the main square. The Grand Piazza (where the apartment is located) is a steep walk up from the station, so a taxi with luggage but other times, walk and work off the pasta! Reception is just during the day but with a self contained apartment, your own building key and lots of local restaurants, you don't need it. We spent 6 days with everyone a fresh discovery and experience. Florence only an hour away and Perugia likewise. We did both easily For a very different Tuscan experience you can't go wrong

This quirky old building felt special as soon as we arrived. Our room was spacious and comfortable (excellent bed plus table and chairs and a proper wardrobe and chest of drawers). Attractive and atmospheric shared areas too. The view out of our window was of the medieval city square, complete with Romanesque church, the Vasari arcades and other historic buildings. We didn't mind the old bell across the square striking every quarter of an hour (including at night!) - that seemed part of the old-world character of the place, and once we'd visited the bell tower and climbed to the top (magnificent view), it seemed like an old friend. Breakfast was provided via a cafe across the square and added to our enjoyment of staying in this incredible historic hill town for four days. The friendly hotel receptionist gave us some very good recommendations for restaurants within easy walking distance. The hotel is right in the heart of the town and close to all the major sights. We loved staying here and would gladly do so again.

Right in the Grand Piazza!! We reserved the room over looking the piazza. There was a Joust competition ( 1st weekend of September) and we got to watch it from our room. The night before the competition was very noisy though. I definitely recommend noise canceling headsets or ear plugs. Room was very roomy and equipped with kitchenette, small table and couch. We had room “ Michelangelo”. Front desk ladies were very nice.

A non-economic solution, with poor quality-price ratio. Only the location needs to be saved, but it must be kept in mind that the location cannot be reached by car and there is no lift. Small room for three people, uncomfortable and thin beds, as well as the pillows. Very noisy even at night. Breakfast is served at Caffè Vasari and honestly, strongly discouraged. I wouldn't go back.

Bellissima mini vacanza ! Magari da ritornarci!
