After a few nights camping we booked last minute to stay in this hotel as it was all that was available in Arenales. It was a little beyond the budget we wanted to spend but it was a fabulous stay. The staff were friendly and a special mention must be made of Albert, who checked us in at 20.45 and was full of good info about trails, bus tickets to trailheads, etc. We had a superior suite with fabulous views over the surrounding peaks, the room was clean, toiletries and white fluffy towels supplied. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. We skipped breakfast the first day, it wasn't part of our package and we wanted to hit the trail early, however our second day we took it more leisurely and opted for the 9 euro pp buffet and it was a good spread. Breakfast in a local cafe will cost you 4 € for coffee and tomato tostada. There are several good restaurant option but you need to reserve in high season. Prices are mostly fair and decent portions for hungry hikers. I'm happy we decided to stay in Arenales over Poncebos, which has a lot less on offer.
