We stayed for a week in Oct 24 half term, with our two children, 11 and 6yrs. We had realistic expectations, after reading the previous reviews, and for the price we paid, and we were not disappointed. For us, this was a cheap all inclusive family week in the October sun, with pool and beach, and it was great. The facilities for the kids are great. Very nice park, bouncy castle area, kids club, and pools. All clean and well maintained. Location was amazing. The bay is beautiful. Just a 2 minute walk down the path from the hotel to a stunning bay. We hired paddle boards and a pedalo at the beach, and the water is so clear and calm, it was great. Also lots of fish to see, when we went snorkelling. Entertainment Team we’re great with the kids, and always something fun for them to do. We had a room with a double bed and bunk beds. Wasn’t the biggest, but was as expected, and we only slept and showered/changed in there. Cleaners came everyday, made up beds, swept and mopped floor and fresh towels. We took our own pillows, after reading the previous reviews, but the pillows there were actually fine. Food was standard for all inclusive. Lots of choice. Good salads, fresh fruit, something different on the grill each day, and good paella available every day. Burger bar by the pool (standard), and a pizza place which was good. All of the staff were friendly and professional. Overall, a well maintained and clean hotel, with good facilities. We would go back!

The worst of all was the food which was generally cold, little variety, we got so fed up we had pizza and salad most nights. Staff throughout the complex were not particularly friendly. The rooms are dated and very basic. You pay extra for fridge, TV and beach towels. When checking in reception staff were only interested in getting the tourist tax upfront, we did hear some holiday makers were shouted at to pay straight away ! The evening entertainment was poor, late change of entertainer. The bar areas and in particular the self serve cold and hot drink machines were dirty, never saw these being cleaned during the day. The communal balcony in B block covered in cigarette butts and ash. On a positive note the pools are modern and clean, the playground and football pitch are a nice addition to the complex. The onsite shop is expensive but that is to be expected. It’s only a 20 minute bus ride into town which is nice to spend a day off resort. The room was cleaned every day, but not the bath and towels were not changed on two days. We were in B block which was very noisy due to old construction methods, sound transmission through the walls and ceilings and in particular the communal hallways was annoying. We were located near the reception entrance so had the pleasure of arrival and departing holidaymakers early morning !! The beach is lovely.

- All staff are lovely and even offered us help with our cases on arrival which was nice, thank you. The transfers from the airport were really fluid which was helpful when you have young children. - Accommodation - this was really deflating, it’s really poor and disappointing for the money, it’s extremely dated and certain elements are unsafe. The Mixer shower tap had no hot or cold sign, it either went too hot or cold. This is Unsafe for children. The family rooms are so so small, do not be fooled by travel the agents photos. The bathroom is so small whilst you’re on the toilet your legs are touching the bidet. The bunk bed was rusty with a swinging ladder again totally unsafe for young children. - The food is ok, pizza bar and burger bar are great for children and great selection of fruit, the staff keep the buffet well replenished and fresh meet or fish is cooked daily. It does get really busy at times so go early if you don’t like the hustle - The alcohol within the all inclusive is not great but I guess it is what you would expect in a 3* hotel, you can buy cocktails which are really lovely and worth the treat - Outdoors is great- plenty pools, splash play, slides and a short walk down to the absolutely beautiful beach (it is steep) not ideal if you have a disability but you will be ok with a pram, the beach is really beautiful which is the hotels saving grace, the views are stunning, I’d recommend booking a sea view if you can afford it. The complex also has a fantastic children’s park. - Evening Entertainment is ok and there are lots of activity’s you can be involved in throughout the day. Again the entertainment area gets really busy at night and there is a lot of hustle over chairs and tables. - There are Plenty restaurants along the beach front if you fancy an evening out and a couple of supermarkets just a short walk from the hotel - Car rental is available I would visit the area again but sadly not sure about the hotel due to accommodation as I don’t feel the accommodation itself even warrants a 3* “superior” the accommodation simply is not comparable to the exterior of the complex. The hotel was overwhelmingly busy and it simple wasn’t our cup of tea.

Just home after a week at Aguamarina and have to say we had a brilliant time. The rooms were cleaned everyday and fresh towels left, rooms are small but sure you're only in the room for a shower and sleep. Staff were friendly, we never came across any staff unfriendly in all areas.. The food. The Burger bar was a hit for our two children, and food was grand. The bar area was always clean and the All Inclusive option's for beers, wines and spirits was good and even soft drinks had a good variety. The main restaurant always had something for everyone. We had no issues with the food, yes it can get repetitive but sure that's All Inclusive. Staff worked very hard cleaning and clearing tables. Food was replenished as soon as running low. The pools were all great, but children's pools were very cold, we spent our time at block B pool mostly and after a go on the slides or a paddle in the children's pools the main pool was alot warmer. No inflatables allowed in the pool, but we didn't mind there was alot of people in the pool at times so there would have been no room for them. Staff did dancing, water polo and water carpet in the pool as well. Pool areas are cleaned daily and left clean and ready for each day. Entertainment in the hotel is non stop from morning to night for the children and adults. The team work so hard and do a great job. There's bouncy castle areas for the children to play away in by the park and crazy golf area. Water polo was always a good laugh for the adults. We were only disappointed we missed the foam party and the schedule changed during our week. There's not alot in the area around the hotel, a supermarket across the street and on up the street there is a gift shop and on past that a place great for the family called Backgammon with a gift shop beside it also., Further up past there is a waterpark also. If your looking loads of shops/bars etc this is not the place for you. You also have the beautiful beach at the side of the hotel where you can hire beds, pedalos and paddle boards, you can walk alone to a few more shops, restaurant and tobacco shop also on the beach path. The beach is worth a visit it's clean and the waters lovely. We did go to Mahon a day and it was nothing special, we went to market day and it was a nightmare trying to get on the bus due to queues and the bus already full when it arrives. Up the street by the gift shop/Lacoste shop sign there's a lady who braids hairs also, mostly there from morning to tea time. We would visit this hotel again for sure. It was an amazing week and we met the nicest of people along the way. Usually we do enjoy walking along a ***** of shops/bars/restaurants but we were very content with the hotel and all it offers

You have to pay to rent a fridge, which is filthy. You then have the world flattest pillow but if you want another you have to pay to rent it!! My toilet seat is stained chipped and dirty. The sink is blocked. The curtains have an unknown stain that I don’t even want to hazard a guess at. The tables round the pool are nearly black with filth. No kids floaties in any of pools are allowed. The staff are rude. The amount of money we paid for what we have ended up with is shocking. There is a small supermarket outside the hotel and for 6 bags of crisp. 3 cokes and 3 waters, one packet of biscuits we were charged nearly £60. The whole place is rundown and dirty and don’t get me started on the food. I read reviews before I booked on here and on tui and foolishly believed the good ones. This is definitely a case of false advertising. I usually make the best of a situation but not this time. This I fear will be the longest week of my life. None of this is exaggerated so if you foolishly book this place I promise that you will regret it. The beach is the best thing about it because it’s clean.

Not at all worth the money we all spent as a family. One of the poorest 3*hotels I have stayed in, I know it’s focused for the children. But I would have checked out of block B if mine was small. The corridors was disgusting . Stains on the the old dirty carpet. Dirty walls I. Need of a paint. Old furniture that needed tipping in reception. And rude staff on check in. Best part was when they took if my wrist band. I felt like I had been released from prison. Never been but got that sense of relief. Slot better 3* hotels and cheaper. Tui was a joke didn’t even travel there or back on a proper tui plane. Thinking hard for next year. Hope not to be ripped off.

I really enjoyed my stay at aguamarina, the evening entertainment was amazing, the teen club was so fun and the animators were so nice to be around! They had a nice selection of food, definetly good for kids too. The waterslides were so good and there is also adult activities if you get bored so yeah I would recommend aguamarina!! (and if the animator Hugo sees this then hi!)

Just wanted to give this place a fair review after reading many terrible ones. Check in: we were first in line and check in took a few mins only. We paid our tourist tax and were directed to a poster with the times and location of meals/snacks/drinks. I had requested block A and was placed in block A. Location: the beach is accessed directly from the hotel and has a ramp the whole way down for prams/wheelchairs although I wouldn't have liked to push a pram down there lol. Otherwise there isn't much in the surrounding area. A couple of smaller shops/supermarkets. You can walk along the boardwalk to the end of the beach. The bus stop is directly outside the hotel and they have bus times for getting to and from Mahon and Fornells. The hotel has the most stunning views of the beach and amazing sunsets. And the actual grounds of the hotel are very nice lots of areas having been recently renovated outside. Cleanliness: the sheer volume of people at this large hotel means some mess/litter is inevitable. However the cleaners do a fantastic job. Rooms are tidied daily and towels replaced daily if you leave dirty ones in the bath. Pools: there are several pools here, two large family pools, an adult only pool, a kids pool and another smaller kids pool and water slides. I imagine it would be nicer here out of season with less people as every morning there were people queuing for sun beds at the pool and there were never enough sun beds or umbrellas for the people staying here. I didn't want to spend my holiday rushing and queuing so settled for sun beds on the grass under the trees for shade which worked fine for us. The only complaint is being unable to use inflatables in the pool, for me as much as I loved it here I wouldn't return for this reason as my favourite place to be on holiday is on a lilo in the pool. They wouldn't even allow a rubber ring for my 11 year old who isn't a confident swimmer and was out of her depth in certain parts of the pool. I pointed out another child with a rubber ring and the life guard said it was ok because they were younger. Towels available but by the time you paid a deposit per person and fee per towel per day it was cheaper just to buy cheap beach towels. They have a cabana area but for adults only so we didn't go there, looked like a beautiful area but was never in use due to the extortionate pricing, I noticed they put a sign up offering their use for a cheaper price but still something like 5euros an hour and no one used them that I saw. Entertainment/kids club: We didn't really take part in these as it was generally very busy and again you would need to queue for seats. However there was loads of entertainment day and night and the staff work so hard. We did get round early to get seats for the lion king after reading reviews and enjoyed every minute of it! My youngest daughter also liked the foam party. One day they had a family fun day with various fun contests which we watched from a far but looked like a g

Pros - my 4 year old was constantly entertained, the pools are busy but clean, it felt safe with the pool gates being locked on an evening, mini disco and nighttime entertainment was fun, very quick service at the bar for drinks, white wine and beer on tap were nice, great playground and bouncy castle area, handy shop on site, the beach is a quick walk and is one of the nicest beaches I’ve ever been to! (And I used to fly long haul for a living) it was stunning, and again nice and clean and felt safe. Lovely beach restaurant. Cons - the bedrooms are tiny and the pillows are useless, the food was basic and bland and the canteen was like a cattle market, lots of queues for pancakes at breakfast, air con in room isn’t the best but still worked. It’s quite basic hotel but it is reflective in being a 3 star. Chargeable extra on site - the merry go round, it’s gorgeous! Pedal powered by a couple, they add bubbles to it and spray water at the kids and it’s really lovely, my daughter loved it! I plan to go back next year again as value for money and entertainment value is unbeatable. It’s 3 star, not the Ritz, go with that in mind and you’ll have a great time.
