Lauriston Hotel

Hotel is very easy to find ,located around 2 minutes from the Ardrossan South beach station . Additionally it is around a 15 minute walk to the Ardrossan Ferry terminal for the Arran boat . It was a very nice touch that the hotel had appropriate Halloween themed lighting upon arrival outside and inside for Halloween weekend . Upon check in the front desk were very welcoming and took the time to explain where everything was and take our order for breakfast . As our ferry was cancelled the next day , the staff at the hotel were very helpful and let us keep our bags in our room as the weather was atrocious and offered to let us stay in the bar/lounge area as long as we needed. Excellent service . Hotel room and all other areas were perfectly clean and in good condition . The room had a kettle and the bar was open until late . The breakfast in the morning was also fantastic . Overall a great stay before going over to Arran and would stay again.

Okay, but dated Very dated and worn. Bathroom and bedroom is tiny and very little room. Felt a bit rushed to have breakfast as we had to fill in a form the previous night and picking an exact time to eat for the next day. Came down to load the car and staff were waiting for us to have breakfast and felt like we were being pressured to sit down. Breakfast was good and no issues. Hotel just feels like it needs serious updating

First impression was "very rundown and tacky" and in desperate need of a spruce up. It needs a good tidy up in the front. Not very welcoming on arrival. It was clean enough and staff were friendly but definitely very overpriced for what you got. Breakfast was cold and barely adequate. Not somewhere to return to.

Excellent One night b&b for family party. Fast, efficient check in. Clean, spacious, well appointed room. Comfy bed. Staff were all amazing and breakfast was perfect. Well done to all, we will be back. Thanks.
