We decided on The Nest for a family reunion and we couldn't have made a better choice. Stuart and Shelley and all their staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful. As bowlers we also enjoyed playing on championship standard greens, expertly maintained by Theuns and his team (and Shelley you are a great bowls partner as well). The food was excellent and the accommodation was clean and comfortable albeit a little dated - but that just adds to the charm of the place. A great time was had by us all and hopefully we'll be back one day!

If you are looking for good old fashioned service and care then The Nest is the right hotel for you. Although not modern, it is comfortable and their staff are exceptional.

I booked in April and expected a lot better- initial room was small, cold and broken, the room moved to had water issues, broken toilet roll holders, door locks. The place is old & run down. The food very average with minimal options. Drinks very expensive.

Accommodation was excellent. The food was great. The staff was always friendly. The bed slept great and the room was clean. The view was stunning. We had an awesome time there and cannot wait to go back again.

Everything is perfect here. Meals were great. Served course by course. More food was available if requested, (I think) it wasn’t offered and felt a bit guilty asking. Rooms clean, functional, maintained, staff friendly, good value family holiday. More than enough stuff to do on-site and nearby. Lawn bowls a rare treat with the family. It just all feels a little 1985, especially without any aircon (except in dining hall), which made the nights hot and uncomfortable.

From the time we drove on to the property, we felt at ease. Then sitting on the veranda, looking at the beautiful mountains and experiencing the tranquility; we knew we had made the right decision to spend the New Year period here. So much so, that we booked an extra night. Every member of staff are rated as excellent.
