We couldn't get in the hotel until 3pm. It was locked. However we eventually got in. The member of staff on Reception was very pleasant. She, was the only member of staff I spoke to. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a good location. What let this place down was the frugal breakfast. There was hardly any food to eat. A young girl kept coming and checking the small plates in the fridge that had ham and cheese on. I would, say the portions she kept bringing out were for one person. It was ridiculous. There were a few guests there that morning and others were still coming down. They had no chance of getting breakfast. The bread had gone the fridge was empty. The poor souls were searching for whatever crumbs they could get. No idea of catering. For that reason I would not stay there again. Text and images you copy will automatically show here

Cute old hotel, located right in the centre of Arbois. Pleasant service. Parking offered for a reasonable fee 100m away from the hotel.

Lousy front desk service
Service at the front desk was terrible. We were forced to pay on Saturday night although we were leaving on Sunday. There was no soap and no toilet paper in the room. When called the front desk about and she said she will arrive but never did. I went downstairs and she gave me a small bottle of shower gel for two and told me to get the toilet paper from a counter in the restaurant area. She mentioned she mentioned she will refill the shower gel dispenser and never did.
Reviews at Google maps have a strong focus on the bad service at the front desk.
Rooms are ok-ish but start looking old. Bed was nice and clean.

We had a one night stay here. Parking was easy, for free and just across the street. The young lady at the reception was very friendly and speaks many languages. The room was renovated recently and was good in size, the bathroom (shower, toilet and sink) was spacious. The mattresses were very good and gave us a good sleep. It was very quiet, because we kept the windows shut at night. If you want to sleep with the window open better look for a different place as traffic noise starts early in the morning. The hotel is in the Center of Arbois, several good restaurants are within short walking distance.

A two night stay turned unexpectedly into a three night stay, due to a car breakdown. Our thanks to the manageress who dealt with our problems with charm, good humour and good advice (including pointing us in the direction of a local car hire company and helping us the book a taxi to the train station). A very comfortable, traditional little hotel. We were offered a choice of rooms on our arrival, and had air conditioning and a ceiling fan in our room, which was very welcome. Plenty of parking adjacent to the hotel, and restaurant options within easy strolling distance. Delightful place to stay.

1 étoile pour le couchage et la propreté. Je rejoins les avis des personnes précédentes. La "cheffe" devrait effectivement faire un autre métier. Remarques limites de la correction, prend ses clients pour effectivement des adolescents (et encore...)...intrusive(elle se permets de vous bloquer la climatisation ou de l'arrêter à distance . Épie ses clients et se permet de faire remonter des remarques par l'intermédiaire de.son employée (on se demande d'ailleurs comment elle traite son personnel)...N'accueille pas ses clients comme il se doit (prise du petit déjeuner, comment rentrer le soir, ...)...et se permet de vous appeler le soir (3 fois) alors que vous êtes au restaurant.....et vous parle comme à un imbécile lorsque vous lui demandez un renseignement. A refusé de nous servir un verre et nous a gentiment expliqué qu'il y avait assez d'établissements à Arbois pour aller boire un verre. Sans compter les innombrables consignes affichées partout (même au dessus du micro onde😅). Nous n'avons pas tout lu...et je ne vous détaille pas tout.....Bref.....à fuir. En espérant que la "cheffe"...aille voir ailleurs comment ça se passe...

Je n’ai pas pu connaître l’hôtel Les Messageries à Arbois, car, au téléphone, en souhaitant annuler ma venue plusieurs jours avant la date , après un premier courriel pour prévenir , je me suis vu subir un interrogatoire médical inadmissible, et déplacé ,indiscret et discourtois de la part de cette hôtelière - Puis on m’a raccroché au nez sous prétexte d’occupation du téléphone alors que j’allais reporter ma réservation . Ça coupe cours à mon choix . Je suis toujours dans l’attente de la preuve de l’annulation par courriel . Très déçue d’une telle attitude désagréable et discourtoise . Heureusement d’autres choix dans Arbois m’ont satisfaite . Merci de votre écoute . ME

Un hôtel confortable et bien situé . Une patronne d une incorrection et d une agressivité hors du commun. Un petit déjeuner de formule économique. La patronne aurait probablement mieux réussi dans l armée.
