Hotel Club Saraceno - Bovis Hotels

We recently spent ten marvelous days at Club Hotel Saraceno, and our experience was outstanding in every aspect. The location is breathtaking, the accommodations are fantastic, and the service has been exemplary. The restaurant team welcomed us warmly and consistently went the extra mile to ensure our comfort. Each dish during dinner was absolutely delicious. The beach staff were equally excellent, and the hotel and surrounding area are kept spotlessly clean. The lovely reception staff were always happy to help, especially Giulia, who assisted us in finding our lost camera. Thank you all for making our vacation perfect. We will definitely recommend Club Hotel Saraceno and look forward to returning!

I'll be short and to the point: The worst hotel with the rudest staff and besides that I also left with a broken windshield the car was parked in front of the tennis court! I do not recommend in any way! the hotel's linen smells sour for nothing, the room is clean, I think they wash it with vinegar, the staff does not speak English except for 2 or 3 people at the reception, the rest you speak to them in English and under an indescribable feeling they answer you in Italian....at breakfast they buzz you flies and sits on all the food terrible

Great resort, fabulous facilities and staff. A beautiful location right on the beach, also with swimming pools and tennis courts. We thoroughly recommend this resort.

We have just returned from a 7 night stay at the Hotel Club Saraceno and had a wonderful time. A lovely clean, friendly hotel, well set up for families. The location is 2 hours by car from Cagliari airport, a fairly remote location but amazing stretch of coastline. We took advantage of all the water sports on offer at the hotel, our 6 and 10 year old loved canoeing, paddle boarding and taking peddle boats out. We took advantage of the 1/2 day rib boat trip which was great fun for exploring nearby beaches and swimming in the crystal blue sea. We took a rib out ourselves another day. It was great to be able to do this all from the hotel and at a very reasonable cost. All the canoes and paddle boards were free of charge which was fantastic. We had hired a car but did not really need this as there was so much to do from the hotel. We did drive into Arbatax and visited the red rocks there. Santa Maria Navarrese has a nice marina, a few shops and you can take more boat trips from here including to Grote del Fico. We also drove to Pedra Longa which has a lovely restaurant overlooking the sea and is a nice place to cool down in the heat. Overall a great hotel for families, especially if you like watersports!

I have to go far in the past to find an experience as bad as the one we had in this hotel. Let’s go straight to the good points: the resort is well-maintained and the rooms have been recently renovated. The pool looks new and is quite big. The staff at the beach as well as the beach restaurant is nice and careful. The breakfast offer is ok with quite a good choice. The bad points now: Though the breakfast place is nice, it is soon overcrowded and you have the impression to be at the school canteen. Don’t wait to be placed as you might end up with the worst place while many careless customers would go directly to take a seat where they are pleased. The beach is probably the least nice of this area with unclear water and can be smelly. Though you are in a 4 stars here you won’t get anything in the fridge. Not even water. And for coffee, you will have to do the old-fashioned style one: there is no coffee machine but a kettle. This lack of care matches with the behaviour many waiters have at the breakfast restaurant where you will not get much consideration. Well, it’s a resort and not a hotel. So I suppose it is something you can expect. And I have to confess I don’t like resorts. Yet, I could have cope with all that, I think. It’s difficult to find an accommodation by the sea in this area of Sardinia and, unfortunately, the hotel La Bitta where we used to go was full and we picked up this resort as it was the same hotel group. What a bad idea! In fact the worst thing for us was concerning the room. Let me explain: we had bought a sea view Deluxe room. We arrived late on the first night as our plane was delayed. We ended up in a ground-floor room with a perfect view on…the beach restaurant. With, every day, everybody going pass your « terrasse » to go to the swimming-pool. And even though we had asked for a change right the next morning, guess what: nobody cared! No doubt here: we have been in many countries all over the world and in many different styles of hotels but this Saraceno resort deserves the highest price for the carelessness of his reception deck towards customers. They did not even try to find a solution. While many Italian customers came and obtained a change of rooms (I do speak Italian as well so I could understand what was going on). I let you have a look at the view from our room so that you can judge of the incredible view we had and everybody I think will understand that, at this price (which no different from the room they advertise on their website) , this is not acceptable or even honest. We asked fo a discount at the end of our stay as the room was not as described, the reception manager (a lady who behaves like she is the owner of the hotel. Maybe the case?) laughed at us. Never been treated like that anywhere. Thus, even though I don’t like to leave a bad review, here I can’t but advice you to avoid this resort.
