Staff were super friendly from the beginning to the end of our stay. Room was immaculate and beautiful and the bed was so comfy, absolutely slept like a baby. Views were stunning from all and led of our room also. Will definitely book again next time we are back.

We stopped by for a coffee on our circular walk from Westward Ho!. Alena our waitress was very helpful and friendly. She made excellent Americanos with a generous serving of warm milk. We received excellent service, delicious coffee and superb Lemon Drizzle cake which set us up for the long walk back from Appledore via the Northam Burrows. We would highly recommend a visit to the Seagate Hotel and the Full English Breakfast served there looked amazing as well.

Excellent stay over weekend. The staff couldn't have been more helpful - it was a busy restaurant both nights but we were treated very well and the food was delicious! We joined Pete's first quiz night which was great fun too. Michelle couldn't have been more helpful.

The best thing was the excellent breakfast. The lukewarm shower was disappointing and the room was attractive but rather cold. One or two staff didn't seem very well-informed or responsive, e.g. we waited at least ten minutes for someone to check us in, the person we asked about packed lunches seemed very unsure about whether they could be provided, the same person didn't seem to know what to say about the shower, the special menu which we were given and which we chose from turned out not to be available the day we were there. Nothing serious, but could just have been a bit more attentive.

Quite well appointed, if small, rooms. Position on a busy sea front is good as well as private parking area. Cool showers, which couldn’t be warmed. Their excuse was that they’ve known about this issue for a while but NOT sorry! Position tries to justify the higher price but not worth it.

We had 'The roast for two' Not sure what to say, other than, we have not had a roast like this before. Its by far, the best roast we have ever had...and we go out alot for carvery and obviously make our own roast dinners.. This cannot beat any of them. Our server was Jamie, who is accomplished accommodating and funny... as were all the other staff. A special thankyou to the chef! Will absolutely be back.

We stayed at The Seagate for a couple of nights over the Easter holidays. Room was spacious, clean and had some lovely little touches, plus lovely view. Staff were friendly and helpful and we felt like they wanted our stay to be a really positive one, which it was. Thank you

We had a lovely stay, welcomed by very friendly staff who looked after us very well. The location was superb and whilst we were working and didnt get to enjoy it to the full extent, being by the waterside was a real treat - no doubt for the summer! The bed was a little hard, but really thats the only thing we could comment on. The rooms were very clean, with a little addition of a chocolate crab and some shortbread which was well received and great food in the evening too!

Not the biggest room but clean and well appointed. Very good location with scenic walks all around. Staff all very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast good too. A walk to the left along Irshire street was recommended and did not disappoint. Some great local shops and sights.
