We stayed for 2 nights for our wedding. The team helped on all accounts and the rose petals and champagne were the icing on the cake. The lodge we had was lodge 1, we were very private ,with trees to one side meaning no one was over looking us. The lodge was immaculate, high standard of finish throughout. The view was perfect for us, sunshine with a wee breeze and the midges really with the wood burner on as dusk came no bother to us . “Smidge” was included and we both used that before we ventured out, very helpful. I cannot fault the woodlands set up, if I am really looking to find anything maybe some throws to use would be nice to sit out later. Oh worth noting if you want some music do take a Bluetooth speaker as we didn’t want the projector and screen on but still wanted some music when watching rh view and sunset . The projector was fab though later and just casts whatever is on your phone no app or anything needed to use.

Have stayed here quite a few times in the past and was sorry to see how much it has deteriorated. Rooms are still quite comfortable, but not tidied or cleaned during the 3 days we stayed there and the broadband would not connect in the room because too far from the access point. However the food and drink was the biggest disappointment. Cloudy and sour Bellhaven replaced by Guinness that was about to go bad as well. Both my wife and I had a fillet steak which was tough and dry (and charged at £36 each). My replacement rib-eye was not bad although replaced with poor attitude. The following day a dry and tough cheeseburger and fish with soggy batter crisped up on the outside. On the final day some quite decent scallops thermidor. Breakfast was equally disappointing. In the past breakfast was served and had full Scottish as well as smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, kippers, tasty porridge etc. Now it is a sub-standard buffet of sausage and bacon and fried or scrambled eggs and no option for a continental.

From the moment we arrived on a wet and windy afternoon we were transported to total relaxation & amazing hospitality. We arrived hungry so had tea & sandwiches in the lounge beside a roaring log fire. Sandwiches were absolutely delicious (we chose prawn & blt). After dragging ourselves away from the log fire, we went upstairs to our bedroom which was lovely. Very nicely decorated with all the amenities you would expect. Penhaligon toiletries were a luxury treat. Dinner & Breakfast were tasty & sitting in the conservatory for a pre dinner drink was cosy (lovely wool blankets in a basket if you want a bit of extra heat) but the stars of the weekend for us were definitely the staff. They were exceptional. Very professional & efficient while still maintaining a friendliness. We were given a map of the island by staff & had a great walk looking for eagles, deer etc. (Wellingtons available at reception) We walked to otter point & were lucky enough to see otters playing in the water. Other wildlife stayed hidden. We had been to Isle of Eriska a few years ago & although lovely, we felt it looked a bit tired and in need of some decorating. It now looks superb. From the moment we arrived on a wet and windy afternoon we were transported to total relaxation & amazing hospitality. We arrived hungry so had tea & sandwiches in the lounge beside a roaring log fire. Sandwiches were absolutely delicious (we chose prawn & blt). After dragging ourselves away from the log fire, we went upstairs to our bedroom which was lovely. Very nicely decorated with all the amenities you would expect. Penhaligon toiletries were a luxury treat. Dinner & Breakfast were tasty & sitting in the conservatory for a pre dinner drink was cosy (lovely wool blankets in a basket if you want a bit of extra heat) but the stars of the weekend for us were definitely the staff. They were exceptional. Very professional & efficient while still maintaining a friendliness. We were given a map of the island by staff & had a great walk looking for eagles, deer etc. (Wellingtons available at reception) We walked to otter point & were lucky enough to see otters playing in the water. Other wildlife stayed hidden. We had been to Isle of Eriska a few years ago & although lovely, we felt it looked a bit tired and in need of some decorating. It now looks superb. The new owners have clearly invested lots of money refurbishing the hotel and it definitely shows. Not at all surprised celebrities escape to this lovely hotel/island. Have stayed here quite a few times in the past and was sorry to see how much it has deteriorated. Rooms are still quite comfortable, but not tidied or cleaned during the 3 days we stayed there and the broadband would not connect in the room because too far from the access point. However the food and drink was the biggest disappointment. Cloudy and sour Bellhaven replaced by Guinness that was about to go bad as well. Both my wife and I had a fillet steak which was tough and dry (and charged at £36 each). My replacement rib-eye was not bad although replaced with poor attitude. The following day a dry and tough cheeseburger and fish with soggy batter crisped up on the outside. On the final day some quite decent scallops thermidor. Breakfast was equally disappointing. In the past breakfast was served and had full Scottish as well as smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, kippers, tasty porridge etc. Now it is a sub-standard buffet of sausage and bacon and fried or scrambled eggs and no option for a continental.

We stayed for 2 nights for our wedding. The team helped on all accounts and the rose petals and champagne were the icing on the cake. The lodge we had was lodge 1, we were very private ,with trees to one side meaning no one was over looking us. The lodge was immaculate, high standard of finish throughout. The view was perfect for us, sunshine with a wee breeze and the midges really with the wood burner on as dusk came no bother to us . “Smidge” was included and we both used that before we ventured out, very helpful. I cannot fault the woodlands set up, if I am really looking to find anything maybe some throws to use would be nice to sit out later. Oh worth noting if you want some music do take a Bluetooth speaker as we didn’t want the projector and screen on but still wanted some music when watching rh view and sunset . The projector was fab though later and just casts whatever is on your phone no app or anything needed to use.
