My first time leaving the UK and l was a bit apprehensive. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by Markos, who is a lovely kind and funny young man. The room was great, very basic, but cleaned every day. Shower didnt fit on the wall fitting but the pressure was great and the water very hot. Im here at the end of their season, and yes they had ran out of vodka, but the bar staff were very generous with their measures. All of the staff were great, the food not so much for me, as l dont eat pork, but the chef tried to accomodate my needs. Not a great variety and left overs from previous meals were made into other dishes, but it is end of season l suppose. My main gripes would have to be the availability of coffee. This was only available at breakfast and between 1pm and 2pm, unless you pay for it. Luckily l had a kettle in my room so l made my own. The bar closes at 10pm ....... They ran out of tequila in addition to the vodka and did not replace them. If you like lime cordial in your lager take your own. Definitely not for young adults or children, unless you entertain them yourselves. Not much to do on an evening and no entertainment supplied .... but again Markos made us feel welcome. Would consider returning but not all inclusive.

Do not go here! I would give 0 stars if I could. The whole experience was awful from start to finish. All staff (except the waitress's) were rude and aggressive to the point of being openly hostile. We were made to feel unwanted and insecure from the start. The room was disgusting, dirty on arrival (used plasters on the floor) stained and cracked walls with holes in. There were plug socket and lights that did not work and the hairdryer did not work either, which if you have long hair like my partner you will understand how long it will take your hair to naturally dry if you are wanting to get ready to go out for the evening. The door had no lock on the inside and a large gap between the bottom half of the side of the door and the bottom of the door. Meaning we were woken up by every single noise and person that walked past the door in the middle of the night and the early morning, which was every single night. The bathroom was barely functional with a shower head that was not attached to the wall and hung almost to the floor. The shower needed 2 people to operate to actually get it working. Cold water only on multiple occasions. A constant sewerage smell that lasted the entirety of the time we were there. If we didn't know better then we would of flushed loo paper down the toilet as there was no signage. There were multiple days which the cleaner did not even bother to come in and on the days that the did come in they emptied the bin and ashtray and put some "clean" sheets on the corner of the bed. The supposedly clean sheets and towels were stained and marked which we were reluctant to sleep in or dry ourselves with. Not once did the toiletries that you would expect to come in the majority of hotels get topped up. I had to walk up to road to the reception and wait for over an hour before someone actually went and got 2 more tiny bottles of shower gel after being asked for shampoo conditioner and shower gel. The food was terrible, almost the exact same every day and nothing with any flavour, my partner found the food inedible and I struggled myself, (this coming from a man who will eat anything). The same bowl of fruit was on the side for the entire time we were there with the fruit inside quite clearly going off. The drinks were basic and they ran out of certain spirits and sodas on multiple occasions. With that and beer that tasted of nothing being the only drinks included in this supposed all inclusive hotel, we were left with no choice but to go out to eat and drink for every meal which increased our expenditure considerably. My partner was made to feel incredibly uncomfortable by the looks she was getting and the quiet comments we heard from both hotel staff and other guests. If we had the choice again we would pay the extra and go to a different 5* hotel closer to the beach and would end up paying around the same as we did for this holiday. We will not be returning and would actively discourage people from going here.

I’m going to start from worst to best having been here for 10 days as a couple in our 20’s. Firstly, the shuttle man. He is so extremely rude. After taking us back from the beach, while getting out, my bag left some sand on the seat, to which I apologised and he was so rude to me about it (being the beach transfer you’d think he wouldn’t mind a bit of sand). Put a downer on our last day!! Secondly, the food. Personally for us, we only enjoyed the food on Saturdays when they did a BBQ, other then that personally we ate out a lot of the time (that’s personal preference though) Third, the room, was okay but the shower door was broken and the shower head was way too big for the shower itself. After we had some rain on the Wednesday, we had continuous power cuts and these kept going on until we left which is just not acceptable granted it may have been out of their hands but not what you pay for. The DRINKS- awful selection no cocktails only watered down red and white wine and semi decent beer. Not to mention they ran out of vodka for over 24 hours which is totally unacceptable. Lastly- the eyesaw of a building site to the right of the hotel. Markos who usually is on the bar on evenings was also very miserable. On to the good parts!! The view, absolutely incredible from our room (we had a view of the mountains) our friends however had a view of the eyesaw from their balcony so make sure contact staff to avoid having this view if that’s not something you want to be looking out on. The staff- most of them were lovely and couldn’t do enough for you! The Vanilla Beach Bar was absolutely beautiful! Sun loungers were great! Not much of a noise problem in evenings You can get a bus to Chania old town for €5.10 each way at the bottom of the street by the supermarket which is 8 min walk away The location was pretty good The friends we made on this holiday made it for us so in conclusion I’d rate the whole experience at the hotel a 7/10 x

Lovely hotel in good location just a short walk to tavernas and shops. Vanilla Bar just 15 mins walk and beach is gorgeous...food & drink at Vanilla were excellent and very friendly. Rooms as described, clean & sheets & towels changed every other day . All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool bar was lovely...try the Frappe with Bailey's! All inclusive spirits weren't great but I'm not a big drinker so not a problem. Food was good with lots of salads and amazing greek yogurt. I'm veggie and there was plenty of choice...we found breakfast and lunch was better than the evening meals.. never went hungry but some of it a bit basic but for what we paid it was good value... Air con very cold. Pool area was lovely and very clean. We had a lovely time and would go back...

We’ve only been here for 1 night but I have to say how amazing it’s been so far!!! Nikos is AMAZING! So much help- we had our flights cancelled which affected our transfer and Nikos calmed us so much and helped out with another transfer! The hotel is STUNNING! Rooms are lovely too (ice cold beers too)

We stayed at the Apollo 400m up the hill , from the main hotel. We found it adequate for our week stay, the aircon was great, only downside was the mattress was too hard for our preference. Breakfast / Dinner was everything you would expect, fresh healthy. The staff all were very friendly. Including the owners, one of the brothers that ran the bar was a top bloke.. I would recommend this hotel because for the money they charge is good value. The Airport is 1hr transfer via coach. There is plenty of restaurants and shops 5 minutes walk from the main Hotel. With plenty of trips to see the beautiful sights. Thankyou for our stay.
