Bilderberg Hotel De Keizerskroon is a wonderful newly renovated hotel with alot of history. Very professional,friendly,accomodating staff and the restaurant is definitely one you should not miss. The hotel is right next to the palace ”Het Loo” and close to many other attractions in Apeldoorn and other nearby villages. They also have a nice size heated pool.Definitely a place I would recommend.

Petra is owner and operator, super friendly, like coming home to your mom. Very comfortable patio outside seating along with a roomy lounge and dining area. Drinks available; beer, wine and spirits. All good. Snacks also available. Breakfast included was expansive and filling. No lunch required after this. Room a bit small but it’s in basically a large house so for one night, more than adequate. Service is exceptional, friendly and helpful.

As others have said the hotel entrance was fine, the lift wouldn’t pass uk health and safety and the walls move, and the walls are scabby. The room was small. Being British I wouldn’t normally complain, but this was below what I was expecting, even for a budget hotel. See the photos. They were full so couldn’t move, and I was told I was in one of the bigger single rooms. Thank goodness for the internet that I could escape into Netflix, although there wasn’t many place to put the computer as there was a chair and a sink (see photo). The water didn’t drain quickly in the shower, which in the eve I g went from cold to scalding. Not much positive I can add I’m afraid. The staff were ok, although I didn’t really put them to the test. I ate out as, after seeing the rooms, was not inspired to stay there. I thought it was less expensive as it’s not central- I was wrong, it’s not central but totally uninspiring.

Hotel is located in the main square and on top of one of their restaurant. There also lots of restaurants and shops along the main street. Train station is around 10 mins walk, but there are bus stations nearby. You can take the bus to Giethoorn (via Zwolle) and Nationale Park De Hoge Veluwe. This is also the reason I picked this city. The room is newly renovated, bed and pillow is very comfortable. Bathroom is new and clean with a hairdryer. Big enough to put my big suitcase, and store my stuff. They even have a coffee machine. I think I'm in a 5-star! They don't have staff managing the reception desk, but all the staff (waiter and waitress) can help. You don't need to wait long to get help from one of the staff. They are very friendly and helpful. Things you need to aware, the hotel don't have lift, you need to carry luggage through a steep staircase to 2nd floor. Luckily, the staff assist as well. Although the sound proof is not good, it only have a few rooms there, it is not a big matter. There are also noise from the restaurants in the square. To me, it is fine because it won't till mid-night. They have 2 restaurants, one is casual 'Cafe de Paris', one is fine dining 'Spicebrush de Proeverij'. I tried both. Food are so good, and not expensive. Apeldoorn is a lovely small city. There is not many point of interest, but it is good to stay there and explore the surrounding. I love to come back!

Every time I drive my partner to Holland we look for a Van der Valk hotel whatever our destination because we know exactly what to expect .. High standard quality of service , amenities , food, interior design .. and above all friendly and competent staff .. Hotel van der Valk Apeldoorn is no exception...Nice pool , very large and comfortable design room , very comfortable box spring bed, pet friendly hotel , a nice park nearby to walk your dog , and above all the famous van der Valk breakfast ... Smoked Salmon , muffins, various kinds of bread , croissants, cheeses , marmalades , waffeln with cherries marmalade , cold cutts.... and of course scrambled eggs with bacon or omelette ...

Room condition is satisfactory. Breakfast is satisfactory.

The hotel in the forest, the hotel with the most beautiful surrounding environment I have ever stayed in; the inside of the hotel is also very warm and comfortable! Staying for a few more days, riding horses, and taking a walk should be extremely enjoyable! Put a few outdoor photos deep in the hotel

We arrived last Friday afternoon (22/11/24) at the hotel. There were enough parking spaces to lose your car. Then we were welcomed inside and checked in. Our room was on the (201) t****e floor. This was clean and looked good. The bathroom was not really spacious, but everything you need there can be done there. Good! Then we went to the beautiful and pleasant restaurant of the hotel to use our main dish there. The breakfast was very good, the service was helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was great, every morning a lot of choice. In short, people who have read the reviews of many predecessors....I was not there, but it is now at least tip top for each other. We had a great weekend. M.Mulder from Hellendoorn 🍀
