Any use of the parking space is at the sole risk of the vehicle owner or driver. Neither Sojourn nor the owner guarantee the safety or security of any vehicle parked in the parking space and disclaims any responsibility for any acts of theft, vandalism, or other criminal activity. 6) There is a family that lives upstairs. 7) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice. 8) The fireplace is for decorative purposes only. 9) There is no access to the backyard. House Rules & Guest Responsibilities We kindly ask that you review and confirm acceptance of the following House Rules on behalf of yourself and all guests in your party. These standards help us protect our homes, respect our neighbors, and ensure every guest has a serene Sojourn experience. Violation of these rules could result in a termination of your reservation without refund. No Smoking To keep things fresh and comfortable for all guests, smoking (including cigarettes, marijuana, and vaping) is not allowed inside the home or within 50 feet of the building—including outdoor spaces. If smoke is reported or detected, we may need to end your stay, apply a $500 cleaning fee, and report the issue to the booking platform. We hope you understand—it’s all about keeping the space pleasant for everyone. Parties or Events Quiet Enjoyment We love a good time—but we also love our peace and quiet! Parties and events aren’t allowed, and all of our homes have decibel readers that help us monitor for loud noise (don’t worry—they don’t record anything). If we receive a report about excessive noise or gatherings, a team member may check in, and your reservation could be canceled without refund. Thanks for helping us keep things serene for our neighbors and other guests! Security Notice All Sojourn properties are equipped with exterior security cameras, including coverage of entryways and common areas that are recording at all times. These are used for guest safety, property protection, and in some cases to ensure compliance with local city regulations. There are no interior cameras inside any of our homes. Plumbing Etiquette — What Not to Flush or Dispose Please only flush toilet paper—no wipes, feminine products, or anything else. And avoid putting grease or non-food items down the drain or garbage disposal. Plumbing repairs can be expensive, and we’d hate to have to pass that cost along to you! Linens & Care At Sojourn, we provide luxury linens of the highest quality for your comfort. We kindly ask that you help us care for them by following these guidelines. Do not use towels or bedding for cleaning, makeup removal, hair dye or any other activities that could permanently stain the linens. If linens are found to be permanently stained or damaged, we will request reimbursement for the cost of replacement. No Fireworks For your safety and to comply with local regulations, fireworks—including sparklers—are strictly prohibited at all Sojourn properties.Pet Etiquette We’re delighted to welcome your furry companions at this pet-friendly property. To keep our homes clean and comfortable for all guests, please observe the following: Always clean up after your pet—indoors and outdoors. Dispose of waste in appropriate bins and avoid leaving messes in common or shared areas. Excessive pet hair, stains, or odors may result in additional cleaning charges. If our team arrives to find that pet waste has not been properly cleaned up or additional cleaning is required due to your pet, a $75 cleaning fee may be assessed. Our recently renovated carriage house studio is located in one of DC's best neighborhoods, just two blocks from bustling 14th Street (Logan Circle), 17th Street (Dupont Circle), and U Street. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and stores within a couple of blocks. It's also close to downtown DC with the White House about a mile away and the National Mall close by! Our studio is the perfect location for visiting friends, sightseeing, and exploring all that DC has to offer.There are several bus stops nearby, two separate metro/subway stations that are each about a ten-minute walk, and multiple Capital Bikeshare stations a couple of blocks in all directions.You access the carriage house studio via the alley behind our home. You enter through the garage by entering a garage door code. The studio is on the second floor. It is one large room with a kitchenette.The kitchenette has a mini-fridge with freezer, microwave, hot plate, Keurig, and drip coffee maker. The studio itself has several windows, A/C, heat, a ceiling fan, ample closet space, and a combo washer & dryer. The full bathroom is in a separate room.Please note that the studio has a steeper than normal staircase to enter and exit. The stairwell has a handrail and is well lit. The backyard courtyard cannot be used.For the streets closest to the carriage house, we can provide you a free parking permit that allows you to park nearby in all areas marked as Zone 2 parking. In order to receive a permit, you can send us your state, license plate number, and make/color of your car. We will print you a copy of the permit that you can leave on the dashboard. Please note that the parking permit is only valid on the surrounding streets and is not valid in all of DC. Please also pay close attention to street sweeping signs to avoid tickets. While the carriage house is located in one of DC’s safest neighborhoods, please do not leave anything visible in your car.For public transportation, nearby there are bus stops, two metro/subway stations, multiple Capital Bikeshare stations, rentable electric scooters & bikes, and plenty of Ubers/Lyfts/taxis.
