This 1BR apt is centrally located for great hiking, dining, and golfing. Ravens' Perch sits atop our detached 2-car garage, with its own enclosed entrance and outside parking spaces. The apartment is pet-friendly and a standard pet fee of $50 is initiated when you check that you are bringing a pet when booking.There are stairs leading up to the apartment, so guests must be comfortable and able to climb. The apartment has a studio feel, but does have a separate bedroom for privacy. There is a queen bed in the bedroom, and a futon in the living room. Wifi allows for Amazon and Apple tv streaming. The kitchen space is small, but well equipped for most needs, including an oven. The bathroom has a shower and a washer/dryer unit. The unit is cooled/heated by a heat pump, so there is air conditioning available in the warmer months.There is a (very) small side yard space for your use only, with a charcoal grill and propane fire pit. We have two river kayaks (only safe for freshwater) that you are welcome to borrow, but you must have means of transporting them (we do have foam supports and straps for your rack if need be). The location is great, being a short (~8 min) bike ride to Acadia National Park's network of carriage paths, and an easy walk to town (~10-15 mins) so you can avoid parking fees. The Island Explorer passes right by the property, which will take you all over the island for free. "Hummingbird Suites" is approximately one mile from the main entrance to Acadia National Park. This is an immaculate, private, one-bedroom suite with hardwood floors. There is a separate sleeping area on a futon with a very comfortable double size mattress in the living room area. Renovated in August of 2021 this charming apartment has 2 good sized bedrooms, a queen bed in one, and a king in the other. So even though you are in the center of town it has a residential feel. Walk out on to Cottage Street and get fresh baked goods next store or dine in one of the popular restaurants across the street. You can take a short walk up Cottage Street and have breakfast at the famous Jordan's Restaurant, known for their Blueberry pancakes!Head down Cottage Street to visit the many shops and a little further down to reach Agamont Park and the town pier. One bedroom with queen-sized bed, living room, one small bath with tub and shower. There is a small refrigerator & Keurig; no kitchen. Free wi-fi, but no television. A wi-fi "extender" has resolved the wi-fi problems some commenters have written about. There is a large couch which a toddler or a very young child would be comfortable sleeping on, but it is not a fold-out bed. This unit is above our garage with separate entrance via an outside staircase, please see pictures. If anyone has mobility issues, this is not the place for you! Includes access (up two steps) to a screened in balcony. We are located in the Town Hill area. BH downtown is a 15-20 minute drive from here, using the charmingly and accurately named "Crooked Road." NE and SW Harbors and Ellsworth, are also each about a 15-minute drive away. It is an easy 10-minute walk to Maine Coast Heritage Trust's "Blue Horizons" Reserve to reach the ocean, and the Blagdon Nature Reserve is a 5-minute drive.
