Eco Wellness Hotel Notre Maison

Writing this review warms my heart as I think back on our recent visit to Notre Maison. We had been going nonstop with our travels for a little over a week before we arrived. I had ambitious plans for the area including various short road trips, but once we arrived at the hotel, it was an invitation to just stop and exhale. We scrapped our plans and stayed put in the Cogne area for our whole four-night stay. We had a lovely, spacious suite with gorgeous mountain views from the balcony. The wellness center was a dream, with multiple heated pools to enjoy. I highly recommend Fabiola in the spa, who gave me two great massages (the Active Ground and the Tibet). Breakfast and dinner were both wonderful. I had one external dinner reservation when we arrived but we decided to enjoy the rest of our meals at the hotel once we saw how fantastic the food, wine and service were (even for us vegetarians). There were multiple hiking trails beginning near the hotel or many others a short drive away; my husband also did a half-day e-bike rental through the hotel, which he loved. Most of the tourists at the hotel and in the area were either Italian or German speaking; I'm not sure we saw any other folks from the United States while we were there. That said, while it wasn't necessary, it was helpful that I could speak at least a little Italian, especially when navigating some of the smaller surrounding villages. Many thanks to Stefania for her excellent English (and for taking such good care of us); we send our gratitude to the family, the restaurant servers, the spa staff and housekeeping as well. We had an amazing stay and truly hope to return.

This was our second visit to Hotel Notre Maison--our first was eight years ago with our children, their spouses, and our toddler grandsons. This visit was as enjooyable as our first! Our room was spacious and lovely, with a delightful balcony boasting a fabuous view of the snow-covered mountains! The hotel now has both indoor and outdoor pools, both of which are heated. The staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Breakfast included a wide variety of choices, including made to order eggs and generous slices of bacon, as well as fruits, cheeses, cold meats,breads, pastries, yogurts,and cereals. We ate dinner at their restaurant the first night of our stay and were treated to truly gourmet fare! Needless to say, we shall return to Hotel notre Maison the next time we visit Cogne and Park Gran Paradisio!
