This was our fourth stay at Frantze and it was just as good as ever. The location is stunning and it was great to sit out on the balcony and watch the sun go down and the piste bashers groom the nearby piste. The room was very comfortable and kept spotlessly clean throughout the week. The staff were always friendly and helpful, which made the atmosphere in the hotel very relaxed. The food was a real highlight and it was nice to have a choice of starter and main course. There wasn't a single dish all week that wasn't completely delicious. We'll definitely be returning for our fifth stay in the next year or two.

I spent a week here in Jan 2023 with 5 other friends. One of the nicest stays away i have ever had. Staff were all very welcoming, they made us feel like we were at home & nothing was too much trouble. Due to the relatively small footprint (9 rooms) you get to know everyone else stying in the hotel (staff too) which adds to the cosy feel. Food was fantastic, much more than I would have expected given the modest cost for the weeks stay…I don’t think i have ever been fed so well over a weeks stay! The wood burner always on & sauna adds to the cosy delux atmosphere throughout the hotel. The location is a definite plus if you want to get out on the slopes early every day however it does limit your options if you wanted to go elsewhere in the evening for drinks etc but we found no reason to as everything was well cater for at the hotel. The ski in/out requires you to be a fairly competent skier, certainly not for first time or novice skiers but the path can be walked down to the piste if needed. The red run linked to hotel is a bit steep in places which is why you would need to have some ski experience if you were to stay here. They have ski storage area & lockable boot storage (with heaters) which is included. The hotel does have a skidoo service to pick you up /drop off if the gondala has closed when you arrive or are leaving. We had a ride down the piste at 5am along with our luggage which was a lifesaver as it made the task much simpler. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a cosy mountain hideout for a week on the slopes, you won’t regret it.

Uova, zucchine, parmigiano, moccetta, cannella, farina, orzo, mele, burro, erbe aromatiche. Chi ci sarà in cucina ?
