There was heavy snow in Aomori two days before I went to Aomori. I was worried that I would not be able to reach the hotel normally. However, the snow stopped and the sky cleared up on the day of departure. There was no snow in Aomori. When I arrived at Aomori Station, I saw thick snow outside. The hotel is about 600m away from Aomori Station, and the starting fare for a taxi is 550 yen.
When I arrived at the hotel, I made an appointment with the front desk for a fixed-rate taxi to Shin-Aomori Station the day after tomorrow. The taxi fare is a bit more expensive now, but it is still cost-effective to make an appointment. I can reach Shin-Aomori Station and take the Shinkansen for about 1900 yen, which takes about 20 minutes.
The hotel room is compact, and the breakfast is quite exquisite, with a small sashimi platter, apple juice, apple curry, and apple sauce. The restaurant is also quaint.
