What a beautiful place, very stylish, great architecture, very friendly owners, had lots of discussions about the people, politics, design, history etc. Dinner was excellent, cooked mainly by a lady from the village, all fresh ingredients, very tasty with lots of different flavors. Belongs to our top two locations during our Sri Lanka holidays of 16 days. A place to come back!

Our first location on our round-trip through Sri Lanka…and we would be highly surprised if this would not be the best. Summarized; amazing house, marvelous rooms, very tasty diner and breakfast. You are treated as kings and queens in this ‘palace’. Located nearby one of the lakes, with a view on some stoepas.

Fabulously designed property in the middle of a wildlife haven. We stayed for three nights and it was nowhere near enough for what Anuradhapura has to offer. The forest lakeside location means the birdlife comes to you … it’s absolute must -stay venue for birdwatchers. Siri and Chathurika are so friendly and hospitable and they and Chamila went the extra mile to make sure my husband’s birthday was unforgettable. Food is great … and local Sri Lankan food will be « spiced up » on request to suit those guests who have a more local palate. We are already planning to include this property on our return to Sri Lanka.

Currently on our last night of 2 staying at the hotel and we both agree it’s one of our favourite hotels we have ever stayed in. It does only have 2 rooms but the rooms are simply stunning. The whole building is gorgeous and the owners are quite rightly proud of it. It really does have the special individual touch. Staff are amazing and welcoming. We were on half board basis but had a full menu option and food was superb. A safari at 5.30 did not phase them, a cup of tea waiting with a takeaway breakfast. Pool area was great to relax and cool off. Views of the lake have even inspired me to get up for the sunrise. Wish we could stay longer, really recommend and will hopefully return one day. Staying here felt like I was in an Architectural Digest photo shoot. The house is gorgeous and Siri, our host, was kind and informative. We had a very, very good dinner. the room I had was huge and the bathroom elegant and modern. This is Siri's house and he makes you feel like a special guest. The pool was really nice, but cold... actually a relief after such a long, hot day.

WOW! If you want a wonderful boutique homestead run by a delightful couple who are eco conscious, friendly, and fluent in English's then this is the place. The house is international in architectural style with a Sri Lankan flair. I was accommodated in my vegan diet and they have a butler who is available along with being a kind person. My teak appointed room with high ceilings had floor to ceiling sliding teak framed doors overlooking the lake from my terrace, the bed was quite comfortable, and the place was immacutely kept. I woke up to see the sunset over the lake and was entertained by a local peacock along with being visited by neighbor’s cows along with egrets.

Exceptional contemporary property designed to make the most of the wonderful view out across the lake's edge to the stupas of the ancient city a 2km away. Very spacious rooms with everything you need including an outdoor bathtub and a indoor/outdoor swimming pool for just the use of the two rooms. Excellent food and service from the small team and a delight to meet the owners who a justly proud of the property they have created.

Beautiful calm place near thisa wewa. When we come Anuradhapura we always love to stay in this place . Good service good food . Best place to relax . I wish I could stay more days here. It gives us home feeling . Beautiful view of the lake and nice view of mirisawatiya stupa beyond the lake Cool breeze , Sound of the birds … so relaxing

If you're looking for a chill spot in Anuradhapura, Arachchi Heritage could be your place. Additionally, their location is merely 2 kilometers away from the ancient city. The accommodation comprises two spacious rooms, while one features a luxurious bathtub, the other lacks this amenity. Both rooms were clean and cozy. Parking facilities are ample with two designated spots. The villa is surrounded by such a peaceful environment. It was a total break from the usual chaos. The rooftop terrace is the highlight of the villa. It offers a picturesque setting for evening tea, with a breathtaking view of Tissa Lake and a panoramic view of five stupas. While the food menu offers variety, the Sri Lankan rice and curries lack the authentic local flavors. Although the Western dishes are tasty and justify their pricing, the local cuisine is disappointing both in flavor and in its higher cost, around LKR 2500. One minor downside that guests may encounter is the presence of tiny insects, which manage to find their way into the rooms despite efforts to keep doors and windows closed at night. While these insects pose no harm, it may be a slight inconvenience to some. In summary, Arachchi Heritage stands as a peaceful haven, offering stunning views, a convenient location, and comfortable accommodations.
