The owner was very friendly and always looked after me. The only drawbacks were that there was no wifi in the rooms and that it was a little far from the city center, but other than that I was very satisfied. When I went there, there were almost no other guests and I had the place to myself, which was a relief.

The rooms are spacious and the garden is beautiful. There is no soundproofing at all and the water pressure is not strong. Air conditioning is good.

The place was clean, the staff very friendly and attentive. The room had AC, which actually worked, hot water, mosquito net. All one needs. They even provided a place to sleep for my driver, and a parking place free of charge. Very pleasant stay.

We are a young couple traveling in Sri Lanka. We spent one night in this establishment, the staff is lovely and very attentive, the location is perfect, the rooms are spacious and well maintained. The meal in the garden is very pleasant. We recommend it for one night or more to visit the region.

It’s fusty room. One wall of the room is completely wet, full of fungus, even the small line of water comes into the room. Room is full of furnitures, gives a very uncomfortable feeling. Bathroom is newly modified 6.5/10. Overall Cleanliness 6/10. Fairly ok place to spend a night.

We had a great 2 night stay at Milano Rest. The hotel has a retro Cuban vibe, and the rooms were nice and well arranged. The service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly helpful and accomodating about meals, organised a very reasonably-priced tuk tuk and tour of Anuradhapura and Mihintale, and generally ensured our stay was fantastic. Would highly recommend!

It is a simple Guest House, but it has everything the traveler needs. The rooms have a mosquito net and are very clean. The beds are very comfortable, as are the pillows, and the staff is very attentive and friendly, offering you all the services you may need. The restaurant deserves a special mention, one of the best options to eat in the city even if you are not staying in the Guest house.
