Stayed one night at Gamodh Citadel Resort, and it was a pleasant experience! The room was spotless, the breakfast was delicious, and the staff were warm and welcoming. The pool was well-maintained and added to the relaxing atmosphere. Definitely great value for money!

We stayed at the Gamodh Citadel resort for 2 days. The welcome was wonderfull and the staff is very friendly and helpful. When we arrived it was raining a lot, so they even brought us an umbrella. We've had very nice food, it was tasteful and filling as well. There are a lot of options, so everybody can eat here :)

Several times we visited here. we had Awasome food. They have perfect staff. Rooms are also clean with comfortabal beds and ampel space. Amazing pool experience without any distabances. We can enjoy privacy with carm and quit enveranment. Great atmosphere i have ever feel. All thanks goes to the friendly staff.

Great value for money.very good condition of the room,and the staff also very kind.the food was great and delicious..few minutes to Anuradhapura city.amazing atmosphere.there are family rooms, swimming pool, beautiful garden and comfortable area for the drivers.I would definitely stay here again....

This hotel is not worth going to. We went last weekend and first they gave us rooms for about more than 3 hour. There is no manager here. There is no one to take responsibility for any problem. When we asked to speak to the owner, they also said he is out of country. A 3 year old child went with us. When he asked for a small amount of food, he was not given it in the first day.we have received wifi password for every room.its not working well.after 5 hours its expired.im not recommend to go this place.but i have to say one guy did good job (who did restaurant waiter job)

Stayed two nights at this resort. Host Rukshan and the other staff made sure we had a pleasant stay. The rooms were simple, but spacious and clean. Equipped with air conditioning and fans and good beds. Shower was not warm. In itself we did not mind this because a warm shower in hot weather is not nice. The restaurant is simply decorated, but the food is very good. You can choose a Western and Sri Lankan breakfast. Fresh fruit juice and fruit are served with it. Dinner consists of various tasty choices. There is a small covered area that is furnished as a bar. You can also play billiards here. It was a bit unclear whether or not you had to pay for this. Advised them to provide some clarity about this. The swimming pool was lovely and partly in the shade, so you do not have to lie in the sun. The hardworking gardener is busy day in day out to maintain the garden and the swimming pool. Compliments for this. All in all definitely recommended if you want to stay here for a few nights. A visit to the temples and the old abandoned city is definitely worth it. Thanks again to host Rukshan and all other staff for the pleasant stay! If the opportunity arises, we will come back again.

This charming hotel is a stone's throw (or a brief tuk tuk ride) from some of the ancient and spectacular temples dotted liberally around Anuradhapura. It offers a selection of bicycles for hire for energetic travellers (not me!). We were welcomed with open arms and a deliciously refreshing drink. Our bed was festooned with incredible towel art, which made us immediately feel at home. With a large terrace, kettle and fridge, we settled in on the spot. All the staff, but particularly the manager (guide!) and chef/waiter could not have been more friendly. Our every whim was catered for. They definitely went over and above. The owner should know what a credit they are to him...bonuses all round! As for the food - it was so scrumptious (and amazing value) that we ate at the hotel every night and some lunchtimes. Too good to miss! Highly recommend their Sri Lankan curries...yum! The pool is nicely landscaped and it a perfect size and temperature for swimming and lazing beside. Thank you so much!
