The facilities are somewhat uncomfortable. There is no elevator, and the stairs going up are super narrow and steep, which is horrible when carrying suitcases.
And in the bathroom, the gel bottle was empty and some of the towels had some unknown stain on them.
For the rest, the location is perfect, there is a lot of life, and the square where it is located is full of restaurants and bars.
I think that for a short stay of a couple of days it is correct.

Most importantly- the location is great, the bed very comfortable and the whole place was very clean and nicely decorated. One should be aware, though, that all rooms can only be reached via rather steep and narrow stairs, we were staying on the fourth floor with an incredible view of the place and the surrounding restaurants and bars. Given the height of the floors, I was very happy I only had a small bag of luggage. Our room had a fridge and a small coffee machine, no kitchenette. We also had no heating in the bathroom, as the small heater there did not work, and only a small air heating unit in the room, which could not at all keep up with the frigid February temperatures. I would have also appreciated a bath rug. The price is acceptable for the location, though, and, again, it’s very clean and the staff in the adjoining café are very accommodating and friendly.

It's simple to list like a lemon what you can find that is wrong. Judge your own home first and share things that really benefit others! We spent three nights (Monday/Thurs) on the third floor. Quite a climb, because there is no elevator. The room is spacious and the view is wonderful. You get a big bed. (nice if you are 1.90) We didn't have a TV but we didn't miss it. We had a laptop and Netflix. You get a big breakfast with lots of fruit and juice. The owner and his team are friendly, helpful and caring. We enjoyed! Thx! The SOUL is located on the Marnixplaats and there are several terraces and restaurants, and a little further on the Volkstraat there are many more. We did a lot of walking to the island, which was easy to do. We had a 72 hour card and the app from "de line" and it worked perfectly. Search, check in and travel. The app works with the trams and buses via Bluetooth, so it provides real-time information. All museums are close by and you don't have to go far for shopping. If you like it or have a season ticket from Blijdorp, you can go to the Zoo. Not big but certainly fun to do.
