Lucky Monkey Hotel

Not all of the staff were hospitable but some of them were very kind and we appreciate that:) Then some other staff lacked familiarity with customer service or being a receptionist. The information about the hotel and the services was poor and you had to hunt for the information yourself. In the pictures the hotel is more beautiful than live so it didn't quite meet our expectations. But it was affordable. One thing that left us little confused is that we came to check in in the morning after a long flight we were informed to wait outside until a room is found for us. We had just booked a room the night before we arrived to avoid waiting. But the wait didn’t bother us only the thing that how we were poorly informed about this and the male receptionist seemed fed up with us. I had to explain to several staff what our reservation was. As a receptionist myself I was calm with this, however other people who don't work in a hotel can feel very lost and not welcomed like this. Despite the hotel being small and not as bubbly as we expected, the room design is nice and the outside terrace by the sea was beautiful. Good luck to your business! :)

travelled to Antalya to have dental work done with the Atellia Clinic (fantastic and highly recommended). As part of the package on your first visit you are given accommodation which you choose from a short list. I chose Lucky Monkey because of its funky decor and so called proximity to the beach and the fact that it had a pool. The package given was “half board”. Staff: a mixture of good customer service skills and sullen resentment was what I found. When you state in the evening that you’re there as half board, you’re not given a menu. They tell you that there is a choice between two items for each course. If you don’t fancy them, tough. You can order from the main menu and pay full price. One evening I was brought tortellini when I had ordered quesadillas. I pointed out the waiter’s error and he just glared at me. When I said I wouldn’t be eating it he took it away. One minute later he was back with the same plate saying it was not possible to have quesadillas. I again told him I wasn’t prepared to have what he brought and he stormed off. Magically, 5 minutes later he appeared with quesadillas. Given a lot of the guests were dental patients and involving at least two days where it would be impossible to eat anything but soft foods you would think that when the choices were schnitzel or burger they would allow you to substitute an omelette. Nope. Tough mate, order from the menu. The swimming pool turned out to be INSIDE THE RESTAURANT and unheated. Why anyone would want to swim in it is beyond me and I saw no one availing themselves of it. There is no beach. “We are building it just now.” I was told. The on-site spa is great value for money. Around £16 for a 50 minute massage by a lovely Indonesian lady. On days between treatment days a trip to Lara Beach by taxi was needed. Around £6 each way. But once at the beach you have to hire sun beds. In the opposite direction of the beach is a large area of shabby housing with zero charm or nice restaurants. The location. Of The Lucky Monkey is poor if you’re expecting to combine a bit of a holiday with your treatment. I extended my check out time by six hours and the cost was €40. When I did check out, there were errors on my bill where items I had paid for in cash at the time appeared on my room account. There was a big rigmarole involved in having these voided and took three members of staff to do so. The guy I took to be a manger (Damon Hill lookalike) was the most sullen hospitality team member I’ve ever met. He seemed to spend most of his time looking at his phone. In summary, avoid this hotel if you’re offered it by Atellia and choose one of the others. That is unless you wish to just treat it as a hospital room for recovering in. When I return in six months for stage two of my treatment I will definitely be going elsewhere. Oh, and why did I give my review this title? EVERY single surface of every object in the hotel had the grinning chimpanzee logo from slippers to hand wipes, to umbrellas,

Ibrahim, Gamze & Adil, Ali in fact everyone was absolutely amazing. We have the most amazing room with panoramic sea views. The staff were amazingly helpful from the housekeeping to the restaurant with Memet & his team. The gentleman in the spa was very helpful too. Definitely coming back again.

I came to lucky monkey for 7 days, I had surgery on the first day and all I can say is the staff couldn't do enough for me. The accommodation was 100%, the view from the room was spectacular. The room was spotless, anything I asked for was provided promptly with a smile. The restaurant was exceptional I feel it was like a big family, they are so nice and helpful. It's the service that really was the winner for me. One of the servers even went the pharmacy for me.. The food was delicious and the cocktails were the best. But the surrounding views would take your breath away. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I will definitely come back.

Staff at this hotel made the experience better. From the wait staff to the front desk ladies to the night staff member. We arrived early morning, although our room wasn’t ready due to how early we arrive the staff work hard to hard us a place to sleep, gave us tea and coffee and check in with us every hour. View is amazing, the breakfast is delicious and pair with the outside patio over looking the water was great. Definitely recommend this hotel if you want a quiet relaxing vacation with fantastic views and easy access to transportation.

Thank you Lucky Monkey Hotel for giving us such a warm welcome and being so helpful. Before we came we were a bit stressed that the hotel maybe were not as we expected, but it went over our expectations. First of all it’s was so clean, good size on the rooms, nice staff everywhere and one of the nicest views. The breakfast and dinner was also so good, we were planning to eat other places, but loved the hotel breakfast to much, so we just stayed in. The nightshift guy Eren was so nice, helping us with everything from more blankets to showing us around the hotel and the beach. Even the manager helped us with our bags when we were leaving, and I usually don’t see managers being that helpful. The waitresses are also so nice, especially Mehmet who always was being in his best mood and talking with us. So thank you so much, we are definitely coming back, and I recommend everyone to go to this hotel if you wanna stay in a nice place and central to everything ❤️🙌🏾🎉

Stayed here for one week recently, it is an absolutely lovely hotel, quirky boutique hotel with unusual features. The staff are amazing, friendly and approachable. The room was just perfect, with a view on two sides of the sea. Very comfy bed and huge shower. Everyday it was cleaned leaving looking and feeling fresh. The breakfast was a bit hit or miss, but was ok. The evening restaurant outside is its shinning glory, from the wonderful waiters to the delicious food, everything was perfect. The setting for the restaurant was intimate and romantic with outdoor wood fires for warmth, twinkly lights and throws to put round your shoulders. I would defo go back and stay here again.

There are a large number of dogs living near that caused me loss of sleep though their constant barking. Shame as it is a very good hotel.
