We had a 3 night stay in Noumea staying at the Ramada Hotel. The staff in all parts of the hotel were very friendly and helpful!! They gave great service!! We had a view of the race course which was quite pleasant. We liked Anse Vata area and found the best way to get around was to catch the local bus (into the main town area). (It was cheap, easy to do and very well airconditioned.) The swimming pool was lovely and shaded in the afternoon. The room was spacious and had everything we needed (plumbing needs some work). There are plenty of cafes etc a short walk away and we enjoyed swimming at the beach. The promenade area is lovely.

We arrived early and were able to access the room before time, very professional, smiling and pleasant staff. We were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment instead of the studio and had a restful night despite the noise from the portable air conditioning as the one in the apartment was broken. Very practical you do not need towels or shower kit, everything is provided for you. Magnificent and breathtaking view of the ocean. Access to shops, boutiques and restaurants located just below the hotel and in the surrounding area.

The hotel is part of the Hilton group and it’s the budget baby of their chain. I stayed in their budget rooms off site. I would say in summary it is exactly what you paid for. I was happy with it overall. Right on the beach, and close to shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean and air conditioning worked great. I was out and about every day so this suited me fine. No bells and whistles. The only disappointment was the pool area is neglected with it not heated (the water was freezing) and no bar area. As the beaches are currently closed a lot more people would have liked to use the pool areas. I never used any facilities otherwise expect my room and was off site the whole time. Check in process wasn’t great as it was strict 3pm check in and my room wasn’t ready until after 4pm and I was extremely tired after getting in at 11 and being out all day. So be aware if you want to check in somewhere early, there is little flexibility. I had to sit in lobby for ages waiting. Staff spoke many languages.
