We moved to this hotel after being in Rodney Bay ( blah) and Soufriere. Staying in the lush and secluded hills of Anse-La-Raye was a perfect ending to our trip. The hosts Primus and Elfie are so chill. Some reviews mentioned that no one was there to greet them but this no fuss approach is the vibe. Just walk up to the terrace area and ask for Elfie or Primus. Breakfast was included with our stay. Dinners (paid) are cooked by Elfie and should be ordered in the morning or afternoon. Food was great. Hotel has a nice communal terrace with views of the fishing village and water. We did not have a car so Primus drove ($) us to the airport which is c. 1 hr away. He is a lovely man. Other guests used Primus or other taxi guides to take them on tours. We did walk down to a beautiful and secluded beach at bottom of hill (20 minutes). Water was rough so did not go in. Walk back up is definitely a workout but we are in our 50s and survived! Just need to be careful on the bends in the road. Unfortunately, did not get the chance to walk into the village. This place is unique and definitely not for the all inclusive resort types. Looking forward to returning!

The hotel is in a remote part of the area with great views. The roads to the hotel are passable but perhaps not for less confident drivers. Bear in mind needing either a rental car or to use a taxi service to explore the area. The roads do not look particularly walkable. On arrival there was no one to greet us but fortuitously one of the owners arrived shortly after and showed us to our room. It was not quite finished so we were shown to the communal area. We weren’t told that the room was ready but figured it out for ourselves. The pool has a great view but is in the middle of the communal area and did not look particularly clean. The communal area is a nice place to chill out. There is a small, unattended bar so you need to seek the staff to be served. We ate at the hotel on the first night. The timings for breakfast and dinner are posted on the walls and it was a case of sit down and wait for staff. We were eventually asked what we wanted without seeing a menu which eventually came. Some of the items we wanted were not available which was fine. There were other options. We waited 1.5 hours for the food to come. There was no explanation for the delay and there were only two other guests who had dinner that evening. We were not asked during the wait if we wanted any other drinks and felt like an inconvenience to the staff. The food we had was nice, but we don’t quite understand what took so long. It was obvious one of the staff members had evening plans and half way through our meal, they came and asked if we wanted to settle the bill or if we wanted to do so in the morning. We said the morning, and she could not have gotten out of that hotel quicker. We didn’t quite finish our meals, and by this time it was late so we went to our rooms, leaving the plates and leftover food to the cats as no staff were to be seen. The AC is the rooms is good. The tv had a firestick, but we were definitely given the wrong remote. The rooms are furnished to a basic standard as outlined in their hotel description. We arrived for breakfast and were given the limited menu options of which, again, many were not available. We had an all day tour booked and were leaving early the next morning, so we asked to settle the previous nights bill for food and drink but were told they were not making a note of our orders so could not tally the total. We did this (with honesty) the next morning. Some suggestions - perhaps run a daily menu with fewer options that the chef can cook with more ease to provide a more timely service. More prompt cleaning and clearing of plates etc after lunches and dinners. We overheard some heated exchanges between other customers and the owner which could have been held elsewhere, not the types of conversation you want to hear over breakfast. We did not have much interaction with the owners ourselves but are sure they would have tended to us if we needed advice on excursions etc. The hotel is ideal as a place to sleep if want to

Lovely little 'mini hotel' that feels more like a B'n'B - exterior of the building is colourful and stands out amongst the other residential homes in the area (and the hills!), when you look up from Anse La Raye village! Rooms are basically furnished and the shower room is basic and small. However, because of its location and height, it has great views looking down towards the coastline, Anse La Raye Village, vegetation and forestry of the hills and the sea in the distance! Breakfast was limited as they'd run out of ingredients that day but otherwise OK. Rooms are kitted with comfortable beds and good AC units. Downsides were that unfortunately our room was littered with flying ants and bugs which could be seen all over the white linen of our beds and on the walls - but we didn't complain as the location has a lot of trees and plants in the local area, so we presumed that this couldn't be helped? However, it definitely affected our comfort levels and sleep! Also, we only had cold water in our bathroom, which wasn't ideal. The small pool that you see in the picture clearly hasn't been used or cleaned for a long time too, so was covered in dead bugs floating on the surface of the water as well as within it - very unappealing! Plus, due to its location being right next to the lounge/dining tables etc, its smack-bang in the middle of everything and is too small to swim in, so was a bit pointless to have. A car is advised for the very hilly and steep roads to get there.

A great experience, far away from the ‘Yatch types’ in Rodney Bay. Run by the ever helpful Primus and Elfie I wanted for nothing over my stay. With excellent food and room, I cannot over stress how much I enjoyed my stay there. I’m sure I will travel there again.
