Camara Suites

My wife and I just spent 4 nights at Camara Suites in the Odysseus Suite. The suite itself was very large and spacious. It has a full kitchen with utensils, fridge, oven, sink, etc. Plenty of seating areas to eat or watch tv. The roof top terrace was fabulous. Perfect place to eat dinner at sunset with a view of the ocean. A/C in every room. Restaurants, grocery store, and other shops are a short walk up the road. They're two beaches - Paraporti and Neimporio. We preferred Paraporti beach to sunbathe. It's a slightly shorter walk. Neimporio is a farther walk. Either beach you choose to walk to is going to involve a workout. Tons of stairs, but it wasn't a problem for us and we're both 50 years old. Anja was a great hostess. She was a wealth of knowledge about the local area and was always willing to assist us. Housekeeping was superb. The breakfast is PHENOMENAL! I normally don't eat breakfast, but this breakfast was one of the best I've ever had.

We had a fantastic stay for three nights, in the Odysseus Suite. Plenty of room for me, my spouse, and our teenage child. The space is bright and well decorated. The rooftop patio has fantastic views of the town and the sea. Staff were extremely helpful and kept the room clean. Great location – near the end of the main street of Chora, in the pedestrian-only section of the town. Easy access to the shops, restaurants, and cafes in the town – yet the immediate area around the hotel is quiet. Easy access to the nearby beach, and they have private steps leading to down to the water so that you can swim or kayak in the bay directly from the hotel. Also a short walk to the old Venetian fort. We rented a car while we were on Andros, and this location was a great jump-off point to explore the rest of the island. Parking was easy – There are two public lots at the beginning of the town’s pedestrian section, as well as spaces to park along the bay side close to the hotel (just be mindful that it will be easier to pull luggage along the sidewalk/street from the public lots than from the bay side, which requires going up a few flights of steps). We would definitely stay here again.

Great place made better by Maria The room (Superior Suite, Sea View (Leukothea)) was excellent. Modern amenities with traditional touches. Maria (front desk) was amazing. We arrived an hour after check in closed 23:00, however she stayed late and met us at our taxi and escorted us to the hotel which was a 5 minute walk. She brought breakfast to our room each morning and was fantastic throughout our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Camara Suites. The room was fantastic and the hotel is perfectly located. It’s in the main town but far enough away from the restaurants and shops that is quiet and relaxing. And you can go swimming off the back, sweet! Breakfast was large and very good. And Inna, she’s amazing! We would stay again if we returned to Andros and would highly recommend Camara Suites to other travelers.
