I stayed at Aegea Blue Cycladic Resort in Andros Island from August 17th to 21st, 2024, in room 402. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what I had hoped for, especially considering the high rates paid during the peak season. From the outset, it was clear that my partner and I, a couple, would be staying in this room. However, we were placed in an interconnecting room, with an Italian family staying directly below us, separated only by a small door. Every morning, we were jolted awake at 8 AM by the screams of their babies, and in the evenings, we were kept up by their loud conversations and crying children. This arrangement was a nightmare for a couple seeking relaxation, which was completely destroyed. I can't understand why a couple would be placed above a family with small children— this setup was entirely inappropriate for our needs. I have stayed at this resort during the low season (May) and found it much more enjoyable. However, the high season was a completely different experience. The resort was overrun with families, and the lack of adequate staff only made matters worse. Room service was disappointing, to say the least. They did the bare minimum—making the bed and emptying the trash. They left an empty coffee cup on the bedside table untouched, and pool towels were not placed in our room, requiring us to ask for them. The bath towels provided were old, torn, and in dire need of replacement. Despite staying for four nights, room service did not replenish the bath amenities, which were small and ran out quickly. To make matters worse, the bathroom had a foul odor due to drainage issues. The TV in the room was outdated and barely functional. When we tried to watch Netflix, we had to log in to our own account, but the TV was so cheap and unresponsive that we could barely navigate it. Breakfast was another disappointment. The staff was clearly overwhelmed, and the person making the eggs was always visibly unhappy and unpleasant. While I understand that personal issues or dissatisfaction with work can affect one's mood, it was disheartening to encounter this every morning during our vacation. Additionally, the resort did not provide drinkable water, so we had to pay for water every time, which I find unacceptable considering the rates we paid. Even the cappuccino at breakfast came with an extra charge—a frustrating practice given the cost of our stay. Adding to the confusion, our confirmation email stated that we would be staying in the Blue Suite | Sea View. However, upon entering the room, it was noticeably different from the photos displayed on the website. When I searched for the exact type of room online afterward, I couldn’t find it, which left us feeling misled about our accommodation. On a positive note, the resort is located in one of the best areas in Andros, offering a retreat-like atmosphere. It’s also pet-friendly, which was a huge plus for us as we brought our German Shepherd, and the staff welcomed him warm

We booked a weekend to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. There are no words to do justice with this gem. The location, the staff, the food, the value for your money, the beach, the pool, the rooms, the bed, all impeccable. We felt pampered and part of a luxury experience but at the same time we had a feeling like we’re at home. We had our dog to join us, it is absolute pet friendly and even in the hot month of July he had many places to cool off and had a great time. Thank you all for giving us an unforgettable experience and we will visit again soon.

We found this incredible resort last September and returned with some other family members this June. If you’re looking to get away from it all, enjoy some incredible views while hiking, relaxing on a pristine beach, or chilling with a book poolside…this is your place. This is a family run resort that began with a Father’s dream 34 years ago and run by his two sons. It’s only 40 minutes away from the port, but that’s enough to keep this resort secluded and relatively unknown to many tourists. The staff accommodates all your needs and the former Athens five star chef prepares all your meals.

You need to travel of 3km on a dirt road to get to this oasis of tranquility and beauty. It is family owned and that means you get the best and personal service you can imagine. Every corner of this estate is s postcard. Rooms are very comfortable with airco and good beds. Food is local cuisine and every day with different options so you don’t really need to leave the estate at all. Best to come in may/ june as the beach is then empty and very instagram worthy 😉.

Overall, the location is stunning, but the quality is not there yet. It's very unfortunate because this has the potential for great hotel, but at the moment it is not. The food was really bad, and extremely limited choices, The breakfast food was surprisingly terrible, cold eggs, and a few things. The only one server for everyone, doesn't speak Greek nor English, and he kept getting orders wrong. The rooms inside were of a 2 star hotel, with very bad functioning bathrooms. The decor is very old, and needs serious upgrading. The one good thing were the hotel clerks, they were very accommodating and nice. Overall, this hotel needs a serious renovation, to pay attention to the details, and the food.
