Good fro you Anakao situated one hour from Tule with speed boat, This is a good place for your last 3 days holyday, enjoying the beach, visiting Nosy ve and the surrounding fisherman villages, don't forget to go there if you are planning to visit Madagascar.

We stayed there only 2 nights from 28 to 30 April 2024. We traveled 1h15 by boat from Tulear to the Hotel. The skippers were not at all professionals, there was a gas cylinder in the middle of the boat which was not tied, no cushions on the seats. My husband was badly hurt, my nephew had an ematon on had a chin bruise and another passenger fell from the seat. Arriving at the hotel, the owner did not pay too much attention, my husband stayed in the room, he was having lots of pain. We asked for a massage. There was no compassion at all towards us, we had to pay both for the boat and the massage. Back to Mauritius he had to undergo an operation, on his L1 which was fractured. We sent x Ray , MRI and the final invoice for a total amount of Euros 5,780 to Mr Thierry, the owner but WITHOUT RESPONSE. The boat belongs to the owner and the skippers are his employees.

The toilet in our room was leaking the whole time and wasn’t even screwed down to the floor, the bungalows are very basic, I asked for the toilet to be fixed they screwed it back down to the floor and it was still leaking and floor constantly wet which made the room smell, I let the staff know again about the toilet and they just left it after that and didn’t fix it.

The bungalows at Lalandaka are some of the best we’ve stayed in in Madagascar. The porch was amazing with comfortable seating, a hammock, and views of the beach. The WiFi is serviceable and only available in the restaurant. There was plenty of hot water in our bungalow, which we paid an extra 5 euros a night for. The mosquito net fit well over the bed and the bedside lights were great for reading (they can also be turned on and off through the bug net). They have electricity all hours of the day. The restaurant was good (prices are a bit high for the area) and staff is friendly. Very little English is spoken. We would not recommend organizing an excursion through Lalandaka. We worked with them to organize a snorkeling trip to Nosy Ve. We asked several times to ensure that snorkeling gear was provided for the excursion. However, when we arrived to the island our guide informed us that there was no snorkeling gear aboard. We later learned from Lalandaka that it was not possible to snorkel that day and we would not have taken the trip if we had known this. We were charged for the snorkeling trip, even though we could not snorkel.

My five-day stay at Lalandaka was an absolute delight. From the pristine beaches and incredible marine life to the cultural encounters and thrilling adventures, every moment was filled with wonder and joy. The lodge's idyllic setting, comfortable accommodations, and attentive service made it a true paradise retreat. Lalandaka resort in Anakao is a must-visit for anyone seeking a beachfront haven and an authentic Madagascar experience.

Lovely remote beach resort with large clean bungalows and great service and staff. You must arrive by boat to this area. Food was great. We are vegetarians and they were able to accommodate. Staff will arrange day trips and activities if you desire

The boat dropped us right at the place 😌 beautiful in every way! We are locals so we got all the locals on our back pretty much right away offering all sorts of services behind the hotel’s back which got tiring fast. but it also provided options in terms of dinning and activities so watch out for those. The bungalows are romantic and comfy. You only get wifi in the lounge but the place is so comfy we didn’t mind that. The staff is friendly and helpful. They will help you negotiate for the pirogue ride to nosy ve with the locals. It feels a little isolated but a little walking on the beach and there are restaurants and bars. I admit I m a little lazy at times so the taxi pirogue was very welcome for the vas et viens to and from the villages and restaurants nearby.

The site is wonderful and it is really the complex that touches the beach the closest. The bungalows as well as the dining room have a view of the sea. We live to the rhythm of its tides and our feet in the sand. The bungalows are well laid out. The bedding is perfect. The bathroom is composed of a sink, a shower with hot water and a toilet. Small peculiarity of the toilet, we do not throw the paper there and we do not flush the toilet. You throw a bucket of sea water instead. Nothing shocking for an ecolodge. We eat really well there and at reasonable prices from breakfast to dinner. We went to congratulate the kitchens. The service is provided by a young and efficient staff. We met the boss. Too bad he does not deign to welcome or converse with his customers. He could at least say hello. An effort could be made on communication, instructions or advice. The hotel organizes boat transfers from Tulear but the journey which should normally last 1H30 max can be longer due to various unforeseen circumstances. We were supposed to leave at 8:45 and we arrived on site at 12:00. We deplore the presence of merchants and touts around the hotel who are on the verge of harassment. We will return with pleasure because after visiting the village, it is a beautiful place.
