Not recognize elite status This was the first time an IHG hotel did not recognize my elite status. No acknowledgment. And no welcome points were mentioned*. When I inquired about the possibility of a room upgrade, the front desk staff did not say nothing was able. Instead, she said the room we booked was already an upgrade. She is incorrect because a room on the reservation is just that. It is not an upgrade. Broken/worn out things - Old and worn fitted sheet for the sofa bed mattress. If they do not want to replace it, I rather they remove it. It does not even fit. Glad I did not use it, because in the morning, I then realized it had a big, light, yellow stint! - One of the bowls' edge was chipped, a brush had a worn handle, a leg rest had a dime size hole. - They just make the room's overall appeal diminished. Poor design/arrangement! - When laying down on the sofa bed, my feet could touch the dresser! There was no space between the sofa bed and the dresser, so could not walk to the other side of the sofa bed. Noise - The walls were thin. We could hear people open/closing doors. The fridge was noisy at times too. Strange. Someone next door was hitting some metal for about 10-15, and it was bed time! Alarm flash light - There was an alarm light in the ceiling. It kept flashing once every 10 secs or so. Sofa bed - Soft and thin mattress with different black dots on it sat on a weak frame. It made crackly noise when I turned. As mentioned my feet could touch the dresser! And the stint on the fitted sheet! All these plus the noise made it an unpleasant experience! Breakfast - Just ok. Cold hard boiled eggs (peeled), scrambled eggs, pre-made omelette, sausages, fried potatoes, 3 types of cereals, hot oak meals, waffle station, 3 types of muffins, Chobani yogurt, Pearl soy milk. The clock in the breakfast area had been wrong for sometime. It was faster than the real clock. The staff base on the correct time to start and end breakfast. - The waffle machines (2 of them) were the most popular. - Breakfast staff were attentive. Trams at Mickey and Friend's Parking - The hotel provided print instructions to walk to the M&F Parking to take the tram. On Ball Rd, walk across the street to Disneyland Dr (paved) and walk S on Disneyland Drive, and then cross the street at Magic Way. After we crossed, we were wondering where the tram was. We asked someone. He pointed out we needed to walk all the way inside the parking structure toward the NW direction. It is like walking in an U shape but starting at the opposite end of the U. We decided to continue walking to the Downtown Disney. We made the right choice, because the entrance where security were is just a few mins more walk away. Another few mins walk, we arrived at the shops/restaurants area. By the way, plastic water bottles are fine, but no glass bottles when going through security. ART bus - We did consider taking the ART bus, but it came by once
