My friend and I returned to Hotel San Michele again this year - we have been going most years in June since 1990, which speaks for itself, and have already booked to return next June! The hotel has retained its distinctive character and remains family-run, which is a rare commodity these days. The atmosphere, warm, friendly and professional service and stunning position overlooking the Bay of Naples are what sets San Michele apart and we are far from the only people who return year after year. Breakfast buffet is outstanding and the rooms are spotless. The place is great value for money on an expensive island. The pool area is popular and well maintained. The Coppola family always make us feel we are highly valued friends and guests and we thank them sincerely.

Excellent location in the center of Anacapri. Good swimming pool for a day end. Dry and wet saunas to relax. Small but functional Academy. Attentive service. Breakfast well served, although sometimes a little delay. We asked 2 cooked eggs today and after 15min we went away without eating the eggs. For a 5 star I expected more: - maintenance of the hotel in general could be better. - in our room the dressing was well spent with shapes and holes. - in the academy the steel is disregulated: I supposedly ran to 12km/h but I know I didn't go beyond 8km/h. - The hotel is not 100% non-smoking: smoking is allowed in the common open areas so prepare to drink coffee at 10 a.m. with someone smoking next to you or go to the pool at the end of the day with someone smoking cigarette. From the moment one steps onto the pristine premises of Hotel Caesar Augustus in Capri, it becomes immediately evident that this is no ordinary destination—it is a sanctuary. Before even setting foot on the island, the concierge staff's proactive approach was evident. Their impeccable coordination and meticulous attention to detail ensured that the transitions from ferry to hotel transportation were as seamless as the island's tranquil waters. The uncanny sensation of déjà vu pervades as you traverse the corridors, settle into the luxurious suites, or gaze out onto the azure expanse of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The cherry on top, however, was the personal greeting from the owners son, Paolo, upon our arrival. His demeanor and enthusiasm made it seem as though we were two old friends who'd been separated by time and tide. Our conversations weren't merely about our stay but about life, dreams, and the ethereal beauty of Capri. With Paolo, there are no formalities or pretenses—only the sincere delight of reuniting with a friend. The staff, in their impeccable attire and warm smiles, further add to this sentiment. By the end of our first day, it seemed as though they knew us not just as guests but as members of this intimate family. They knew our name, approached us with genuine curiosity, and consistently sought ways to elevate our experience. It's one thing for a hotel to cater to a guest's needs, but at Caesar Augustus, they anticipate desires even before they've fully formed in one's mind. Our accommodations at the Caesar Augustus were nothing short of exquisite. Our stay was encapsulated by our room. It was a sanctuary of comfort and luxury, its expansive and pristine interiors opening up to a private terrace. From this vantage, the beauty of Capri unfurled in all its grandeur, offering moments of quiet reflection and awe. One of the first joys we discovered was the hotel's multi-acre garden, a verdant expanse of vegetables, fruits, and ancient olive trees. Wandering through this living tapestry, it was evident that nature's bounty was not just for the eye but also for the palate. This garden was the chef's secret pantry, ensuring that every dish was imbued with the freshest and most authentic flavors of Capri. Adding to the magic was a serene walkway along the property's cliff. With every step, the majesty of Capri unfolded, offering breathtaking vistas of the sea and sky. The hotel came highly recommended and is in a perfect location in Anacapri away from the bustle of the town. Generally well appointed with great beds (bathroom had almost no shelves to put anything on), beautifully clean. Shower really powerful but drainage couldn’t cope with the power of the shower. Pool area lovely and pool attendant very helpful. Overall we just felt service wasn’t quite 5 star. Very long wait for coffee at breakfast. Took 25 mins to get cocktail in bar (team knew we had a dinner reservation at L’Olivo) and had to ask three times for egg menu at breakfast. There are large numbers of staff - maybe too many so people always think someone is looking after you.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this cosy hotel in Anacapri. As soon as we entered the room we already fell in love with the breathtaking view of the sea (wait till the sunset ;)). The hotel has a lovely island charm, is clean and set just at the right temperature. What we enjoyed most was the company/service of the lovely people working there. Especially one woman was reading our every wish from our eyes every morning at the breakfast table. We also appreciated the extra effort they made regarding corona - no buffet, but they took our order and then brought everything to us at the table (also large offer - sweet, savoury, fruits, eggs, wide selection of drinks,...). I can definitely recommend this cosy, welcoming place.

Villa Ceselle is located in Anacapri away from the hustle and bustle of Capri. A real piece of quietude. Bus-stop to Capri/Marina Grande (Capri main port) is 7min walking. The best reference to tell the driver is the Grotta Azzura Bar. We have granted a room upgrade on checkin. We got an apartment-style room with a terrific terrace. Everything is spotless and very well equipped. Shower itens are from Carthusia, a local top-notch perfume brand. An excellent full breakfast is provide both in variety as in quality. However be aware that they do not have room service. Have your meals in the town or bring some snacks or sandwiches for a late meal just in case. Staff are nice and very attentive. We were provided map and tips and hints about the Island. A great, comfortable and an affordable place to stay in this space-rocket priced Island!

Located in Anacapri, Hotel Orsa Maggiore is 3 km from the Blue Grotto. Set in landscaped gardens, it offers an infinity pool, a spa, and elegant rooms with satellite LCD TVs. Free Wi-Fi, a terrace, and a minibar come as standard in the Orsa Maggiore’s rooms. All are air conditioned and furnished with tiled floors, while some rooms feature Tyrrhenian Sea views. A daily buffet breakfast is provided. The restaurant specialises in Capri cuisine. Massage treatments are also available. A free shuttle is offered from/to Capri Port, 6.5 km away.

The location is good, 2 or 3 minutes from the taxi stop and the ATC buses for Capri, Marina Piccola and Marina Grande, in Piazza Vittoria, the center. The building is like a white house, with gardens, although rather with orchards with lemon trees, among other trees and flowers. The reception staff are friendly and efficient. Elevators do not exist, but there are ground floor rooms with no steps. The corridors, their lighting and the identification of the rooms are correct. The single room was large, it had two beds that shared clothes. The size was about 20m2 and the layout was correct. It had a terrace that overlooked the gardens/orchards. The beds and pillows were comfortable, although the latter were perhaps a little high. The internal and external soundproofing was not good, but it was a very quiet hotel and area. The lighting was good and it could be darkened with the electric blinds. Furniture was correct and battle. The TV would be about 28" and had numerous radio and tv channels. The air conditioning should work in summer and I imagine that in winter it can be hot. The bathroom was not bad, although there was a bathtub. The towels were good. Lighting was correct The faucet in the bathtub was a bit old and hard, but it mixed the water well.Breakfast was what you would expect from a 3* hotel, it could be buffet style, but it was served by a single waiter.The Wi-Fi during the stay had some one time problem and several devices could be plugged in. All in all, this is a good option for lodging in Anacapri.

We stayed at this lovely hotel last week. The hotel is perfectly situated for the town of Anacapri which is a lot less busy than Capri itself and I felt was more 'typically Italian' and is a short bus ride/drive to the town of Capri. This is a family run hotel that is immaculately clean and all the staff there are very friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious with a private balcony. Room was efficiently air conditioned which was nice for the nights which were quite warm when we were there. Special mention to Ravi the night porter for accommadating my requests for cups of tea in the evening! This would be the only negative thing to say, it would be nice if there were facilities in you room to make hot drinks as I felt bad continually asking hotel staff to make them even though they didnt seem to mind. Lovely staff who all are willing to go out of there way to help guests, clean rooms and communal areas, good location. Good selection of food at breakfast. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again. We are hoping to return there in the near future. Thank you and well done to Luigi and his brilliant team of staff.
