The location of the hotel is absolutely in the city center. The room is spacious and beautiful. It is a pleasure to sit on the balcony and watch the canal. The service is superb. The old doorman is a gentleman, and the receptionist is very polite. The bathroom is large, and the bedding in the room is superb, very comfortable. It gets dark at half past ten in the summer here, and the beautiful bells echo in the night sky. Special reminder: This hotel can check out at 4 pm.

I’ve never written a review before. But I think that this hotel was so delightful (and reasonably priced), maybe I should. Best thing about the place? The cheerful staff. Especially Precious, in the breakfast room, who anticipated our every need — with a smile. And Iago (spelling?), the bartender, was amazing. Loved it here.

Great location, near to food places and the canal. The only time it was inconvenient is over the weekends when the close off the roads after 10.30pm till 7am the next morning so taxi or ubers can't drop you off at your hotel lobby, so something to be wary of when checking in or out with huge luggages over the weekend. Nothing to complain about the hotel itself however, will definitely be back!

The location is fantastic, the ground station is the ground station, only 4 stops from the central station. Excellent location, could walk to every “tourist” place. . Plenty of restaurants and bars right outside the doors! The breakfast at the hotel was great with lots of options and the staff very accommodating! Pastry chef is outstanding..deserves a raise!! Croissants the lightest fluffiest ever! Everything tastes as good as it looks! Front desk staff very nice, Sarah went out of her way to “fix” a minor problem and continued ask if everything was ok each time she saw us. Rooms clean and roomy, beds comfortable would stay again if ever in Amsterdam and recommend this hotel to anyone who asks! Transportation from airport is a little pricey (taxi for 4 ..70-100 euros depending on traffic ) but once you are there no need to use again.

Hotel location was good as it is in the central area to almost all activities that we went. But however, hotel room service did not help us to empty our toilet trash bin every single day despite that we gave tips everyday, so I'm not sure how clean exactly is their room service. Bring extra cash for hotel tax and deposits as we were only told on the 1st night of checking in when the recept call up to our room to ask us to go to the reception to pay for our hotel tax and deposit, where only the deposits will be refunded upon checking out if you did not consume their in-room beverages or destroy their hotel etc. Hotel location is very near to 2 super mart, and also the ******** coffee shop, cafe and restaurants, not very convenient for kids as every where smells of ********. Breakfast was super good spread, large varieties, we love it.

The room has a nice size and it is very clean. The decoration is quite playful and modern similar to other Ibis hotel. The price is good for the location and the size of the room. However, the room is not very sound proof. It’s easy to hear the sound coming from other rooms and form the corridor. At this time, Holland does not require the mask anymore inside the hotel so it’s nice to feel back to how it was before the pandemic.

Given the reviews, I was not keen to stay here, but thanks to Ajax v Napoli there were no others available. To sum up, this isn't a 5 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. It is a 3 star hotel. Positives: - Location is superb - Architecturally stunning building - Large room (in my case, at least) - WiFi speeds are good. I was able to do video meetings from my room - Staff were pleasant and friendly Negatives: - Inside, the hotel is dark and in a state of disrepair - The kitchen closes early, and room service appears to not be possible. I was told that I should download Uber Eats if I wanted food after 10pm. - The room is tidy, but basic areas like around the sinks, bath, windows and TV were dirty - There is a smell of sewage that comes from the shower drain - The majority of channels on the TV are unavailable - There is no air conditioning. I had 2 tower fans in my room, and I had to use them both just to stay cool - No help with luggage, not that I couldn't manage myself - You get a bottle of water on the table when you check in. I had some the first night because it was so hot in the room. The second night when I was working late, I turned to open my fresh bottle. Nope! Same half empty bottle, had just been moved back to the table again. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel! Stay somewhere else. A few weeks earlier, I stayed in the Sofitel Legend. THAT is a 5 star hotel.

Me and my partner stayed here for the weekend we were in room 7 a double bedroom, had a really nice private bathroom, however it is at the front of the hotel and it is smack bag in the central so if you’re not a party person I wouldn’t get a front room as it’s rather loud at night. You get what you pay for basically The only thing that we weren’t happy about was the fact that the room doesn’t have a kettle and the drinks machine down stairs was free when we got 2 the hotel and then Sunday afternoon it said we have 2 pay for the drinks and it was €2 for hot water let alone the other drinks they offered, that’s not acceptable if your not going to provide a kettle and essentials in the rooms. so was very disappointed with this as who doesn’t like a nice cup of tea in the evening.

After the check-in, I encountered a series of problems. The front desk arranged people to help me solve the problem. The service was very good. My suitcase is broken, and the hotel is looking for someone to help me get it. Then the skinny is too slippery to open the door. The front desk is looking for repairs. I can wrap the tape on the handle to facilitate my access and the hotel steak is super delicious.
