Hotels near Museum Van Loon in Amsterdam

Very clean room. Lack of toiletries compare to other similar hotels (no hand body, tooth brush, shower cap). Easy check in/check out. Close to tram stop to downtown. Several supermarket nearby: Lidl and Albert Heijn.

The hotel is not far from the city, the exterior buildings of the hotel are very new, and the environment in the store is very warm. This store is newly renovated, renovated in 2023, no taste. The hotel room is small in size, but the design is very reasonable, although the sparrow is small and complete. Whether it is the power supply at the bedside, the storage space is not omitted due to the area problem. The bathroom is also separated from wet and dry, the bathtub is also very clean, and it is quiet to sleep at night. The breakfast the next day made me very satisfied, in addition to the bread, ham, eggs, vegetables, coffee I took. The clerk also has intimate cheese scrambled eggs, which also have onions and hams, which are very delicious and must be praised. Very cost-effective hotel, recommended.

We are staying at the Intercontinental hotels as our main hotel and have been most impressed. Our stay at the Amstel was so pleasant! The staff was absolutely amazing, every person we encounter was so helpful and kind. It is impossible to single out anyone as each team member was great. We ate at the hotel all of our meals except one and the food and service were perfect. We were so grateful that although the afternoon tea was full they were able to accommodate us in another beautiful location where our view was spectacular. We are in hotels 150 nights a year and our experience at the Amstel was one of the very best. The staff members were such nice quality people. They thanked us for allowing them to provide assistance to us. We were so humbled by the generosity of the hotel staff. While dining everyone pitches in and help one another and whatever we could want was provided immediately. Thank you very much with complete sincerity and gratitude. The management should be commended for encouraging such terrific service. We look forward to our next visit to Amsterdam and staying at the Amstel.

Review Staff: Friendly, Helpful and Kind, staff were bilingual from what I could understand English and Dutch Location: Easy to get to via bus by the 397 from the Schiphol Airport to the Van Gogh Museum and walk 10-15 minutes or take the Tram 3 the rest of the way. Amenities: They offer multiple consoles to select from to put in your room if you're into that and have a mini cafe/bar in the lounge. Cleanliness: Bedding and towels were clean on arrival but there was a weird smudged substance on the wall that was not cleaned for some reason. Would I recommend: If you are into gaming it's a great location to stay and the price is not bad. There's a nice variety of consoles and games to select but with other peoples reviews and my experience I would not be able to verify how clean your room may be upon arrival.

Absolutely impressed with this hotel and its staff. Staff go above and beyond to accommodate you from the moment you arrive. We knew our check in was from 3pm however we arrived at 10am. We didn’t mind as we were allowed to leave our bags and wondered of to explore the city. Our room was ready by 1pm. The hotel itself is Gorgeous!!! The grounds are spotless and clean and both check in/out was an easy process. We were upgraded on arrival to a superior room, again gorgeous i really loved the decor and the bed was super comfortable. Hotel is close to everything, and has a tram link behind the hotel to get you from a-b, use google maps for your destination it will tell you what number trams to get. You buy tram tickets at the service desk (on the tram itself) or if it doesn’t have one enter at the front of tram and driver will sort for you 8.50 euros for the day. You can even use these on the metro line and busses. Dam square- 8 minutes on tram/ 11 walking We had breakfast included but only used the facilities once, this was due to the length of our stay we wanted to be out in the city as much as possible. It is ideally located within 1 km of Amsterdam Dam Square. There are GVBs on the 2nd and 12th lines at the door, and there is a train every 3 minutes or so. Take the 2nd and 12th roads to Amsterdam Central Station and take the INTERCITY train to all parts of the Netherlands. Because it is the core area of Amsterdam, the price is relatively expensive. Hotel facilities are old, but fortunately this time is around June, there is no air conditioning in the room, I don't know if I can still treat people in the summer. . . There is no elevator in the hotel, and it is very difficult to carry large luggage. There is no electric kettle in the room. If you need to drink hot water, you have to go to the building. The front desk staff will use the key to turn on the water heater to get hot water. In general, apart from the high prices, others are not ideal. . .

I couldn't be more pleased with this hostel! I highly recommend it. The hostel, including bathrooms and showers, was very clean. The beds were super cozy and comfortable and offered some privacy. Staff was super sweet and helpful. Bonus points that the lobby always smelled like toast or freshly baked cookies! Also, the bike rental service was fantastic. One suggestion for improvement is that it would have been nice to have some wall hangers in the room. Since there were none, people resorted to hanging stuff from the bed ladders or just putting it on the floor.

We spent the night at the Hotel so we could dine at Senses restaurant - food is amazing! Hotel was very quiet due to Covid and was following all the necessary restrictions. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was great. Rooms clean and functional for a city centre hotel. I would definitely recommend. Thanks to the team!

Friendly staff, quick check in and if you book via a third party you pay taxes it's not much to be honest. Rooms are constantly being cleaned, big kitchen to do some cooking. There's a shop behind 5minutes away. Big community area and plenty of activities to engage in. It'd a ferry away from Centraal train station which is convenient

I’ve never written a review before. But I think that this hotel was so delightful (and reasonably priced), maybe I should. Best thing about the place? The cheerful staff. Especially Precious, in the breakfast room, who anticipated our every need — with a smile. And Iago (spelling?), the bartender, was amazing. Loved it here.
