This review is a bit divided in the sense that the hotel is very central to pretty well all you want to see. But it is not for those who have mobility problems as the first thing you are faced with before even seeing reception is a very steep flight of 15 or so steps which you have to get your suitcase up with! However reception staff are extremely helpful and kind and could not have done too much for us The building is a real Amsterdam tall house and as a result is a warren of rooms and corridors and steep flights of stairs. Most rooms do not have ensuite. It is slightly shabby and the decor is a bit old fashioned but it all seemed clean Breakfast was ok but not amazing However the warmth and kindness of the staff did so much to make our stay enjoyable

The staff were kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and our 'Comfy' room, adequate. Our room flooded and we were given an upgrade. Frankly, our first room was better appointed and not such an odd shape. Breakfast was a let down. The choice was limited and not great quality as the cold meats, smoked salmon and viennoiserie were poor. They had a 'live' cooking section for eggs. Everything was overcooked and the space reeked of browning butter. However, the staff were lovely and the 24/7 bar was a welcome touch.

We spent the night at the Hotel so we could dine at Senses restaurant - food is amazing! Hotel was very quiet due to Covid and was following all the necessary restrictions. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was great. Rooms clean and functional for a city centre hotel. I would definitely recommend. Thanks to the team!

My fiancé and I had the most wonderful 3 night stay in Amsterdam and this hotel was the crowing glory of it. Our room was so lovely that we actually ended up spending more time in the hotel than we had planned to. The room was very stylishly decorated and had tea and coffee making facilities, a lovely comfortable bed with nice pillows, a nice big shower and an amazing view of the canal. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly in person and also super helpful whilst I was making the booking. It was my fiancé’s 40th birthday and when we arrived they had put balloons and a little note on the bed for him. To top it all off, the hotel is perfectly located, really close to all the touristy stuff. When we next come to Amsterdam, I wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else!

Beautifully styled rooms in a fantastic central location on a side street just off a canal. Walking distance to the popular tourist destinations - Van Goch museum, Anne Frank house, and plenty of great local restaurants to choose from. Lovely linens and comfortable bed. Alex was a fabulous host preparing a wonderful fresh breakfast every morning. Would definitely recommend

Booked a double bed, the bed is queen size, no problem to sleep with children. The most intimate thing is that when the child gets sick in the Netherlands, ask the hotel if there is a doctor. The hotel is still very powerful. It was almost 10 o'clock in the evening and the doctor was invited to the room for treatment. Prescription hotels can also help to get medicine. Although small expensive but good value for money. In addition, the children of the hotel were told that they are more sensitive to the air. They came over at night to handle the sheets and changed the sheets again. Breakfast is quite rich for European hotels. If you are traveling by car, the hotel also has a parking service, with a parking space of 90 euros a day, and will help us wash and clean the garbage in the car for free. The next time I come to Amsterdam, I will still fix him, very satisfied.
