Lovely hotel, staff were really friendly & helpful. The rooms were spacious & clean. Always loads of hot water for a shower. We preferred tea instead of a coffee machine, so they brought us a kettle & teabags to our room which was lovely. The only thing that bothered us at first was the fact that the light comes on in the bathroom automatically on a sensor. We would of liked to have kept the light off in the bathroom during the night, as it tends to wake you up. Having said that we soon got used to it & slept really well as the beds were so comfortable & the hotel was lovely & quiet at night. 😊.

We spent three nights at this hotel and overall it was a comfortable experience. All the staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. We stayed on a bed and breakfast deal. The room was small but had everything in it we needed. The only little disgruntle was the breakfast, which was okay but very limited. It was a la carte but in my opinion could have had more on the menu. The options were limited but saying that, if you asked for something different they did oblige or tried to. It did take us a day or two before we realised this.

The hotel has a great location, the reception and lobby are very nice. The room is clean but I think the experience inside the rooms could be improved, with sheets, towels and accessories to be consistent with the complete hotel experience.

Had a great weekend break here with my wife. We had a city room which was lovely, bed was so comfortable. Staff were so friendly, and we even got a welcome drink, and a voucher for 2 more free drinks. Breakfast was made to order, and a good choice. Hotel close to most of the attractions and restaurants. Would highly recommend it.

Mixed review for this Hotel. Our welcome was amazing and I cannot fault the staff in any way as they were all warm and friendly throughout our stay. Immediately after booking (so three months prior) we had changed our room to a suite and upon arrival this change hadn't been made. It was quickly sorted, but I did wonder what would have happened had a suite not been available. I had asked for a bathtub if possible but one wasn't available, fair enough but issues arose. The suite was spacious but ill equipped. No storage in the bathroom at all, not even towel rails to hang the towels. The shower flooded with water every time we used it and there was a large squeegee in our bathroom we presumed to try and sweep the water away, whilst showering. Not ideal at any age never mind for older clientele. It was not possible to even enjoy a basic shower without having to constantly monitor the water levels! Not what I expect from a suite and the price we paid. Room service was patchy, no tissues replaced and our shower mat was taken away after the first day and not replaced until we asked. I don't feel you should have to ask for the basics of room service. Breakfast was not explained to us on our first morning so we were left to figure out what to do. It has now changed to a somewhat limited a la carte breakfast menu, mostly eggs! It was cooked very well but little choice, and my order was wrong one morning. Supplemented with a few pastries and some fruit. Have had much better breakfasts in other hotels, certainly not worth the money. We had noise issues (a LOT of noise from room above) for 4/5 hours each night that wasn't addressed by staff. Finally beware if you use this hotel's recommended taxi service which we did on our way home, advertised as 55 euros and were charged 85 euros by the taxi driver. The hotel did offer to refund the money but a week later we are still waiting. A disappointing stay for the money we paid.

This was a great place to stay! Right form the beginning, the front desk was so helpful with giving us our rooms and so many suggestions of what to do and where to go. Everytime we entered, we greeted to kindly. I would highly recommend this hotel for an amazing experience right in the heart of Amsterdam!

The hotel is conveniently located in central Amsterdam. Everything seems to be within walking distance, or close to the trams for longer distances. The hotel itself is clean and modern, some might say even a bit spartan. There is no carpeting, the bathroom is contemporary with on open shower. There is adequate closet space and desk and chair, in addition to the bed. There is a coffee machine, but it would have been nice to also have a small refrigerator, to store drinks and snacks like yogurt or fruit. But overall I found the accommodations comfortable and well maintained.

Great central location. Nicely decorated room & common areas. Friendly helpful staff. Good value. Shower floor slopes toward room instead of drain so when using shower a squeegee needs to be used frequently to prevent bathroom from getting wet. Could use more shelving in bathroom and shower.

The Albus was perfect! My husband and I stayed there for our honeymoon. It was our first time in Amsterdam. This property is located perfectly. You can walk everywhere. You’re right in the middle of where you’d want to be. The staff is absolutely amazing, so helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend to our friends that were traveling to Amsterdam.
