Like many guests here, we only stayed for one night before an early flight the next day, but it was a great experience. When we arrived by Uber, my wife and I were planning to just relax, eat in the hotel restaurant, and get up early for the airport. But, when we got in, my wife's arthritis in her knee really flared up after a week's worth of doing a lot of walking on the trip. She was struggling greatly in the lobby. I asked the front desk if they could help out and the manager immediately found a wheelchair we could use to get my wife to our room. He helped her into the chair, pushed her into the room, and helped her get settled in the bed so she could set some rest. And rest we did. The bed was extremely comfortable and even being close to a highway, the room was quiet enough for us to get a great night's sleep. And I guess we could count sheep to fall asleep as there was a literally sheep grazing outside our window. We truly appreciated the care shown to two people who just passed through the hotel because they had a free night certificate. We were treated like we mattered. And we all matter!

My worst hotel experience in a long time, the front desk officers looked and acted ĺĺĺke. they were not conversant with the situations . Hotel is so unkept and most features are broken. Wc doesn't stop running when flushed ... bathroom had molds in the shower. It was an awful experience for me. Even if the receptionist had little or no control over the situation that are management issue. No shower caps

A private room in Central Amsterdam is expensive and hence people end up staying in hostels with shared rooms/toilets/bathrooms at exorbitant rates. Maxhotel, near the Schiphol Airport is an excellent place to stay if you want a private room with a private bathroom/toilet in Amsterdam. The rooms are small but it is an absolute no non sense place. The staff is very helpful and there’s a Mc Donald’s right next door. The public transport network in Amsterdam is so good that you’re there in the centre of the city in no time from the hotel. There’s a bus stop which is really close to the hotel, about 3-5 minutes walk and it has a great frequency of bus 397 running to the center and back. I never felt that I was staying so far from the centre of the city. They also kept my luggage for few days in their lockers and only charged me 4 Euros for 3 days as I travelled to Paris during the weekend. I was really satisfied with my stay in this hotel and I had a really pleasant experience. I would love to be back here.

Its a 3 but a 4/5 Star looking and feeling hotel for the price of 3. Pet friendly too ! 15 min from the AirPort : bus stop in 1 minute, so with everything (uber taxi bolt). They arrange you a private shuttle/taxi if you need that. They have just opened everything is new and modern. And looks and feels like that. Desing is amazing the staff and management is maybe the best i have met - they really into giving you a great experience and help you with everything (if u just stay for work or if you stay there for a longer time) The rooms, the hotel, all have a great desing, the food is healthy and the beer is great. I need to mention The COFFEE - i am an addict but i have to Tell that this hands down the best hotel coffee i had and i was in 100+ hotels. So the details are top notch and it matters. As i mentioned the staff is exceptional the management too, i was there for work 2 times and they just gave me an amazing experience. Absolutely recommended.

Poor experience. We were traveling with two little children and we requested if possible to have the room ready as we arrived quite early (11 am) but the answer was no or you can wait 30 mins and pay a supplement. Reception team is very junior and they need more training, never a smile or a friendly approach, and the senior staff just hiding in the back office. We had a family room and they were not enough towels bath soap and there was any hairdryer, we had to come downstairs every time as no one was picking up the phone. The only special mention is for the food and beverage manager(Romina and another pregnant lady-sorry I didn’t get your name) super helpful and smiling, thanks. Location wise is very convenient if you have an early flight but there is so little around the hotel, you’ve to get the bus to find a restaurant Breakfast was ok but If you’re a coffee only breakfast person I would suggest the caffè macchiato in front of the hotel, great croissant So I would go back? Definitely not as I wasn’t feeling welcome

We stayed in this hotel from August 31st to September 2nd, myself, my boyfriend and a friend of ours. We took two double rooms, small but really perfect, very clean and welcoming. In this area you are very close to the windmill area which is really worth seeing. We paid €9 per person for the buffet breakfast but it was really well stocked and personally very welcome. A few minutes' walk away is the stop to go both towards Amsterdam Center (you can easily reach it in about twenty minutes by bus) and towards the mill area. In the hotel you also have the possibility of buying the card with the which you can get around on all public transport (which in my opinion is very convenient because there is a public transport service that is exceptional to say the least and very punctual to the second). The staff was very friendly and always smiling, I found the structure in general very beautiful and very clean. We had a really great time and in my opinion this structure is underrated and deserves much more visibility than it has. It was truly an unexpected discovery and very welcome and beautiful.

We loved our stay at Zaan Hotel. Fantastic location. It is just opposite to the train station, from where you can access trains to the airport, Amsterdam and various other destinations. The train to Amsterdam is only about 12 minutes ride. The train to the airport is only 3 stops away and about 18 mins ride. There is a fairly large supermarket opposite the hotel. It being in the heart of Zaandam, has several cafes, restaurants and beautiful shops as well as high street stores extremely nearby. We had a great time walking around the shopping street and also got to enjoy local Dutch food at the cafes. The hotel location is EXCELLENT in one word. Fairytale place is how we would describe Zaandam. We were very happy with the service at the hotel too. Our comfort family room was spacious. The fridge in the room is very useful. Our rooms were cleaned everyday and toiletries replenished. The staff were very helpful. All areas of the hotel are very well maintained, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was lovely too and so was the dinner. We would strongly recommend this hotel to everyone planning a trip in the Netherlands.

GGuest UserIo e la mia ragazza abbiamo soggiornato in quest’aparthotel per il nostro soggiorno ad Amsterdam. Sebbene situato nella località di Amstelveen, questo hotel è in posizione strategica: è infatti ad una mezz’ora di mezzi sia dall’aeroporto sia dal centro di Amsterdam, trovandosi a 5 minuti a piedi dalla linea 5 e 25 dei tram ed a sole 4 fermate dall’interscambio di Amsterdam Zuid. I monolocali sono puliti e dotati di tutti i comfort. Unica pecca la mancanza di ciabattine monouso e forse di accappatoi (sono comunque presenti asciugamani). Il letto è comodo, ma i cuscini un po’ piccoli. In quanto aparthotel, le pulizie sono settimanali. Non abbiamo provato la colazione in struttura, ma il personale è sembrato molto disponibile. Lo consiglierei per un soggiorno ad Amsterdam.

GGuest UserThe service apartments is situated at Amstelveen district which is at the south of Amsterdam. You may reach from the airport or the city center easily with the public transport. The check in and out speed is efficient and the staff are friendly to help you with all matters. The rooms are big, clean, well equipped with all the things you need for a short and long stay with the family. Free Wi-Fi increases your satisfaction. You either cook in the room or use the facility in the hotel. The menu meets the needs. There is a small supermarket in the hotel for your urgent needs. The rooms are cleaned weekly and towels & garbage could be collected upon request daily. As the hotel is close to the shopping mall, you can make all your shopping easily. I suggest for all occasions.

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay. The staff were excellent, the breakfast was super tasty, and the rooms were very comfortable. However, the pillows were too soft for me, and the dishes in the room's kitchen weren't very clean when we arrived. The price was good for the Amsterdam area - you will struggle to get rooms this spacious for a similar price in the city. Despite being a fair way out from the centre of Amsterdam, is was a hassle free tram ride to get in to the centre, so it didn't feel far away. Overall, I would recommend Cityden Zuidas if you want a bit of extra space and the option to cook your own meals.

GGuest UserThis was our first stay at this location, but it certainly won't be our last. We had a bit of a panic during the day about arrival times as trains were horribly delayed, however the reception team were kind and reassuring throughout. The hotel is located next to a tram stop (take Metro to Zuid and then tram 5 to Kronenburg) for easy access to the city centre and the room was clean and comfortable. We didn't have breakfast, and there is no bar or restaurant at this hotel, however a range of drinks and snacks are available at reception and it is possible to order in food. Reception staff were also most helpful with printing off our travel documents for the next day.

GGuest UserI couldn't rate this hotel any higher. It's on the outskirts of town so lovely and quiet, the rooms are a good size and we didn't hear a peep from anybody else while we were in our room. We were allowed to drop off luggage early which was handy and then we came back about an hour early but were told our room was available so we could check in slightly earlier than the 3pm advised time. Check in was easy, and our room was on the 5th floor with the lifts just near reception. The room had a small kitchen which included a dishwasher, fridge, coffee maker, hob. Bathroom was a decent size and a nice walk in shower. We didn't eat here but we did come back for drinks before calling it a night on the Saturday and the bar was reasonably priced (it was cheaper compared to the city centre) and the staff on shift were extremely friendly. The hotel were happy to call us a taxi when we first arrived as we didn't know how far things would be, but we then stuck to Uber after that as it was a lot cheaper than the local taxi companies (same as the UK then!). Check out was equally as easy and again staff were pleasant and friendly. We will visit Amsterdam again next year, and we'll be more than happy to stay here again.

The hotel is in Amstelveen which is around 30 mins out from Amsterdam, we found this to make us feel safer and allowed us to see more of the Netherlands. We used the GVB app and bought 4-day passes that gave us unlimited travel on all GVB buses, trams, metros, and trains. It took us around 45 minutes through walking and getting public transport to be in the centre of Amsterdam. There are quicker ways but we used the app to identify GVB transport only as to get the best use from our travel pass and to not endure further costs. One of the best hotels we have stayed in, when we arrived at 10am we were informed by the receptionist that our room had been upgraded to the 'Junior Art Suite' instead of the standard room we had initially booked and that it was ready for us to go to. We were expecting to drop off our bags and come back later but the staff at reception informed us the room was ready and we were allowed to go up. When we arrived in our room we found it to be spacious, clean and tasteful. The room is equipped with towels, bath mat, extra pillows, complimentary toiletries, air conditioning, a safe, a mini fridge and tea and coffee making facilities (a nespresso machine and pods!). The bed was large and very comfortable, we slept really well whilst staying here. The shower was lovely and warm and had really good pressure, as well as the bath. We were informed of the timings for breakfast (7-10 Mon - Sat and 7-11 on Sundays) on the first day of our arrival. At breakfast we were able to choose from a variety of different breakfast items and as much as we wanted. Breakfast included, fruit, deli meats and cheeses, cereal (incl. granola), salad items, cooked eggs, cooked bacon, coffee, tea, fruit juice and water. We felt well replenished when having breakfast and is definitely worth the expense. On the whole, our stay at Grand Hotel Amstelveen was amazing and we will highly recommend to anyone thinking about staying in the area of Amsterdam!

GGuest UserWould rate it lower if I could. The room was terrible. It was small and there was next to one space to store clothes, and while this didn't bother me for my 2 night stay, it would be really inappropriate for any longer stay. Toilet and shower are shared with many other rooms and are poorly kept. Cracked tiles, random empty bottles of shampoo and condition etc just left in a pile on the floor. There is a sink in the room, but our tap was cracked and sprayed water out the side when you turned it on. There is also a lot of noise outside, as late as even 11pm and with our window broken, we couldn't close it properly to help shut out some of the noise. Food in the bar below is good but VERY expensive for what you get. We also paid for breakfast included and it was nice to help yourself to bread, a toaster, some crackers, deli meat and cheese but... it was just stuff that they bought from the Lidl literally right across the road, about 20 metres away. Not worth how much they were charging for it. They also double charged us and are refusing to give a refund. We spoke to staff at the time and they all seemed friendly and happy to help but couldn't do anything. It was all ”Oh, I'll text the person who is doing the breakfast tomorrow”. She didn't. And when we explained it to the person on breakfast her only suggestion was also to text a co-worker. They took our details and said they'd email us about it. They didn't. We had to chase them up with multiple emails which they all ignored, so we emailed the company through whom we booked the stay. They contacted Abina who claimed that they'd already sent the refund through. They hadn't, which we have proven with bank statements. They still haven't. As of writing this it's been 6 weeks since our stay. No refund and extremely poor communication from Abina through and through. Absolute worst hotel experience to date. Don't stay here.
