EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse BOS

I stayed for a total of 4 weeks in their Mobile home 6, and Berkel 2 accommodations. Do not expect anything more than what is described in the adverts - it is clean, basic, functional, warm, and provides a roof over your head. The beds are comfortable and clean. The kitchen has a sink for washing up, a good-sized fridge with a small ice box, and pots and pans for cooking on a 4-burner gas hob. there is no oven. Bring knives, forks and spoons as, depending on which accommodation you choose, they may not be provided. The little shop has a nice selection of breads and snacks, and the essentials of food, drinks and toiletries available at a reasonable cost, should you forget to bring them, but again, reception needs to be open before you can access it. Overall I was satisfied with the accommodations, they provided everything I needed. The reason for only 3-stars: The most irritating aspect is the numberplate recognition system at the gate - it works maybe 20% of the time, the other times you need to call reception to get them to open the gate. If there is no-one at reception then it is hit-and-miss as to whether you get to drive your vehicle into the camp - not nice when it's pouring down rain. I got through to some-one who spoke so softly I had to keep asking for repeats. She asked for my name, telephone number, vehicle registration, how to spell my name, where I was staying. After giving her all this information she still wouldn't let me in. Later, some-one else was having the same issues.

I saw all the negative reviews prior to our holiday and was worried. I must say though that I was very impressed with the place. It’s very clean well laid out and reception staff very friendly. The accommodation we had was a glamping tent. It was very clean and well laid out. There was more than enough space for everyone. The shower was brilliant. A point I did note prior to our holiday was that there was not enough hot water. We all found it very hot and plentiful. Finally the mentioned plane noise from schipol airport yes it’s there during the day and you do notice it but most of the day you are sightseeing or doing something away from the park. At night it’s quiet and we all slept very well. I would recommend.

Nice location, friendly staff and convenient for Amsterdam. Showers and toilets were always dirty and there is no temperature control on the showers, the water temp coming out varies from cold to scolding. It is also not a quiet site, noise from inside and outside the camp constantly at night.

I was really worried about this place having seen how bad the reviews were - but having just left, I have no idea who the reviews are so bad! We had a glampingtent for for nights, it was lovely! Clean and had more than everything we needed. Snuggling up under a blanket under the canopy with my kids will be a memory I treasure forever. We hired bikes for our time there, so we had easy access to superkmarket, Amsterdam, and roaming the forest - we loved it! T Or there is a bus stop just outside which has busses every half hour. Yes, you can hear the airport, but you are camping in a city, so noise is to be expected. It's a beautiful location, and being able to cycle the locality/forest yet also have such easy access to central Amsterdam was just fab!

This site was a lot further out from amenities and Amsterdam than we thought. Had to use Ubers in the end as public transport consisted of a few buses etc. recommend hard pitch as I wouldn’t want the motorhome on muddy ground. Showers flooded each morning. Very basic but reasonable. The park next door would be lovely in summer. Shop has next nothing in and wine extortionate.

I stayed here with 5 friends for Dekmantel festival and it was fantastic value for money. I would highly recommend this for festival goers. It’s basic but that’s all you need! We were initially put off by reviews from 2018 but they seem to have eradicated all of these issues. Some flags for people going to stay there, only one room has a wardrobe and only one room has a full length mirror. We will definitely be back to stay here again if we return to this festival as it was perfect for this situation.
