We needed a room to stay the night before our flight, as we didn´t want to risk getting to the airport late (trains were having some delays/cancellations and Schiphol in general was very busy during our time of travel). We chose this hotel as it looked comfy, had a great price and they offered an early breakfast, which was great! Check in was easy, hassle free and their staff really speaks several languages. We were checked in by Will who was so kind and helpful. We were checked in in no time and on our way up to our room. The rooms are GREAT! Honestly, for 113 EUR we had a spacious bed, the room had double windows so you heard absolutely NOTHING from the airport, flights, etc. The bathroom was very spacious and the shower had great water pressure. There was some complimentary fruit on the small desk as you walked in, which was a great touch. The elevator up to the room is protected, if you do not have a room key, you cannot get into the elevator. Nice touch to make you feel safe. In addition to the breakfast we also had a complimentary glass of prosecco included. Nice touch! Bar staff was friendly (Angel attended us), menu for food was great too and really reasonably priced. Breakfast was available from 5:30am onwards. Great options of types of bread, spreads and hot options such as hotcakes, hash browns, etc. Free shuttles run every 30-40min from the hotel to the airport and vice versa. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great hotel prior to an early flight!

This was the second time I visited the Netherlands and the second time I stayed at this hotel as my first stay was in 2017. I will not hesitate to stay there again when I visit the Netherlands in the future. The hotel made my trip in the Netherlands more enjoyable. Thank you to the Turkish receptionist. She was helpful. I chose this hôtel as I was travelling from the UK to see Dépêche Mode at the Ziggo Dome. And stayed two nights. Jaz in the City is just steps away from the Ziggo entrance so you can’t get any closer! It’s also great as a base for Amsterdam sightseeing. From the airport there’s a direct train (hotel is a 10-15 min walk from Bijlmer ArenA station). You can also hop on the metro here for a 20 min ride to Centraal. As Amsterdams public transport is so good (compared to Bristol in the UK where I live) you can confidently rely on it to get you wherever you need to be efficiently! Staff at the hotel are super friendly and helpful. From front desk, bar, restaurant and housekeeping. Everyone (thankfully) spoke English which is ideal for me as I can just about say hello and thank you in Dutch! Special shout out to Mr Omelette Maker at breakfast. The perfect start to a day of sightseeing!! I’m sure they’re are cheaper options but I’m of an age where I understand that you get what you pay for. This hotel in my opinion is great. It looks good, is super clean and well maintained and importantly ＜feels＞ good.

Its a 3 but a 4/5 Star looking and feeling hotel for the price of 3. Pet friendly too ! 15 min from the AirPort : bus stop in 1 minute, so with everything (uber taxi bolt). They arrange you a private shuttle/taxi if you need that. They have just opened everything is new and modern. And looks and feels like that. Desing is amazing the staff and management is maybe the best i have met - they really into giving you a great experience and help you with everything (if u just stay for work or if you stay there for a longer time) The rooms, the hotel, all have a great desing, the food is healthy and the beer is great. I need to mention The COFFEE - i am an addict but i have to Tell that this hands down the best hotel coffee i had and i was in 100+ hotels. So the details are top notch and it matters. As i mentioned the staff is exceptional the management too, i was there for work 2 times and they just gave me an amazing experience. Absolutely recommended.

My worst hotel experience in a long time, the front desk officers looked and acted ĺĺĺke. they were not conversant with the situations . Hotel is so unkept and most features are broken. Wc doesn't stop running when flushed ... bathroom had molds in the shower. It was an awful experience for me. Even if the receptionist had little or no control over the situation that are management issue. No shower caps

Poor experience. We were traveling with two little children and we requested if possible to have the room ready as we arrived quite early (11 am) but the answer was no or you can wait 30 mins and pay a supplement. Reception team is very junior and they need more training, never a smile or a friendly approach, and the senior staff just hiding in the back office. We had a family room and they were not enough towels bath soap and there was any hairdryer, we had to come downstairs every time as no one was picking up the phone. The only special mention is for the food and beverage manager(Romina and another pregnant lady-sorry I didn’t get your name) super helpful and smiling, thanks. Location wise is very convenient if you have an early flight but there is so little around the hotel, you’ve to get the bus to find a restaurant Breakfast was ok but If you’re a coffee only breakfast person I would suggest the caffè macchiato in front of the hotel, great croissant So I would go back? Definitely not as I wasn’t feeling welcome

We loved our stay at Zaan Hotel. Fantastic location. It is just opposite to the train station, from where you can access trains to the airport, Amsterdam and various other destinations. The train to Amsterdam is only about 12 minutes ride. The train to the airport is only 3 stops away and about 18 mins ride. There is a fairly large supermarket opposite the hotel. It being in the heart of Zaandam, has several cafes, restaurants and beautiful shops as well as high street stores extremely nearby. We had a great time walking around the shopping street and also got to enjoy local Dutch food at the cafes. The hotel location is EXCELLENT in one word. Fairytale place is how we would describe Zaandam. We were very happy with the service at the hotel too. Our comfort family room was spacious. The fridge in the room is very useful. Our rooms were cleaned everyday and toiletries replenished. The staff were very helpful. All areas of the hotel are very well maintained, clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was lovely too and so was the dinner. We would strongly recommend this hotel to everyone planning a trip in the Netherlands.
