I was dropped off at the hotel by our driver, only to have to call them back and get another hotel. The bedding and towels were stained. There were cockroaches in my room. There were dirt stains all over the walls. Before deciding to leave, I asked to change rooms. All the rooms they showed me had dirty walls and dirty bedding. I finally decided to not stay at all.

Do yourself a favor and NEVER book this hotel. The rooms are ridiculously tiny, and the bathroom is a complete disaster with no drains. The receptionist is an arrogant, rude person who behaves as though she owns the entire place and thinks she can get away with verbally abusing guests. Even if you book an Executive Room, they’ll try to force you into a cramped deluxe room instead. When you confront them about this scam, they’ll lash out and start insulting you. We were a group of five senior citizens, and she couldn’t care less, showing zero respect. To top it off, the lift was out of service, so we had to struggle up to the third floor. This place is an absolute joke—stay far away from it. And don’t believe the Google reviews; they’re fake and clearly posted by the hotel itself to trick potential guests into booking here.

Only one pro is that it is close to the main attractions of Amritsar i.e. the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Baug. Rest are all cons. The whole place has an unhygienic feel. The BF is non-existent. Sure shot tummy upset. The bathrooms are shabby and leaky. Good hot water, but showers don't work. Located in a narrow dirty lane. Getting in and out of the hotel in your car will be a challenge. All in all, if you expect a certain level of hygiene and efficiency, don't even think of this hotel. If you have better budgets, choose Fortune or Ramada close by.

This is the worst hotel I have been. Dirty and super unhygienic hotel. Floor is never cleaned. Washrooms and Linen are very dirty. Rooms are cramped with absolutely no window and ventilation. Staff is uncouth and even steal your stuff. This hotel should be reported on the websites, to take down.

Staying in sawera grand is amazing fantastic mesmerizing experience..this full package of everything..wheather it's hospitality, according too service and moreover about food is awesome staff is courteous .and golden temple is just walkable

May24 - Rooms are poor quality. Small, no ventilation, dark, stinking. Bathrooms are not cleaned and hygienic. Food we had dinner, it was so so. Breakfast was good. Reception, lobbies even higher floor keep stinking, could be due to kitchen on ground floor and no cross ventilation in whole hotel. Only positive remark is location. Just few meters / 5-10 minutes away from Partition Museum, Jallianwala Baugh, Swarn Mandir and market. If stay is 24 hours or so, consider it without any expectations. Else look for other options.

The hotel is located near partition museum. The approach is terrible from a narrow lane where even parking is not allowed to pick up our luggage. We have to climb steep stairs to reach reception. It is referred to as staircasewaala hotel by autowaalas. Rooms are old and dirty, Bathrooms are below par. Very noisy place. Buffet breakfast is mediocre. Better avoid this place.
