Hotels in Sri Lanka generally have low value for money, and most of the well-known heritage hotels have outdated facilities. In comparison, Golden Crown is a relatively new hotel with fairly complete facilities. The location is good and the lobby decoration is very unique. It happened to be Valentine's Day when we checked in, and red balloons were placed on the bed, which was very warm.

Everything was amazing, the staff was friendly and the room view was stunning, the food had alot of varieties overall everything was perfect. The minibar was empty, no face and hand towels, no sliper was in the room. The balcony doesn't have chair and table even no ashtray.

Comfortable rooms with good facilities. Excellent room service. Tasty food. Dinner & breakfast buffets were good. Lunch served as a set menu was also delicious. Mr. Wijekoon & Mr. Lakshitha helped us a lot at the restaurant. We had a wonderful experience.

The bed and pillows were great. The breakfast and lunch buffet wasn’t great but average. Front office staff not very efficient. Wanted to get stuff from their treats but there was no staff and had to let go. Mr. Wijekoon at the BRIX restaurant did a great job with his hospitality and service. The rest of the restaurant staff were great too.

Room was large, very comfortable bed with very good service - turn down service etc. The pool is lovely with a great outlook and gym has good equipment. Hotel staff very attentive (especially Sivaraj), nothing is too much trouble. Overall we had a great stay the only small issue we had was there was no outdoor furniture so we couldn't really enough the balcony.

The service has been amazing from the time we arrived at the hotel from all the staff. Rooms were very clean and they were happy for us to move rooms due to some noise from the room next door. The cot was ready when we arrived too for our 5 month old son. Special thanks to Rajesh and Wijekoon at the restaurant for their hospitality. The pool could definitely be a bit bigger and the hotel hire rates for the car needs to be more competitive. Getting a car for a cab after around 9pm is very difficult in Kandy mainly for families travelling with infants

The best hotel ive everrr been toooo!! Its so peaceful, elegant, and the staff are amazing and patient. They are incredibly sweet and friendly, they most definitely made our stay in Sri Lanka better! The rooms are wonderful and very comfy, the view is spectacular and filled with nature! We also saw monkeys on our balcony, they arent very friendly but as long as the balcony door is closed you are safe! The food is amazing and there are so many options to choose from. I always had a fun time getting the dessert as it tastes amazingg! I really enjoyed staying in this hotel, even though we only stayed for 2 days, it was a memorable experience. Thank you to all the lovely staff that made us feel welcomed, especially Rajeesh, thank you once again 🩷.

The hotel is beautiful with hospitable staff. Rooms were comfortable. The breakfast and dinner palette has a lot of variety and it was an added advantage that there was an Indian station. Considering we were a family of 6 with our parents that was a big advantage. All the staff members were very sweet and catered to all requests. Swimming pool has a beautiful view. The climate was perfect in June and we had a great time!
