They change the bed sheets once in a week as "this is not a hotel" the owner said. No soap, no shower gel no cleaning.The bed is not comfortable at all. The air con is not working. The only good thing is close to the beach. I will never go back again to this . Rude staff. Fridge bad smell.

I really have no words to describe, they were very small, the rooms were not clean enough. The air conditioning hardly worked. We didn't sleep well at all at night and luckily it was only one night, the beds were creaking! The only positive thing about the hotel is that it was in front of the sea, nothing else!

The Troulis Apartments are family owned and managed. The Troulis family is friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The air conditioning works great but they've gone to solar power for heating the water. The water never gets really hot but it's bearable. The restaurant, "Waves" is better than last year but still not my first choice for dining on the island.

A lovely beachside hotel. The rooms are clean and bright. Maria is friendly and kind, as is everyone in the neighbourhood. You can eat breakfast for an additional 8 euros each morning. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is within walking distance from many shops and restaurants.

It was so good to be back at my favorite place in Crete. Mr. and Ms. Troulis are some of the best mom & pop hosts I've ever known. I haven't been back to my regular hangout in 3 years due to COVID. I sure missed the place! Usually, I give them 5 stars because the hotel is directly on the beach and the employees are warm and welcoming. This year, I had two unpleasant experiences at the restaurant which is under new management. The new manager is quite rude and unpleasant. I gave him a second try with the same results. But that won't deter me from the beach at Troulis!!

REGRETTABLE. I am not able to understand the good reviews and I suspect that either they are purchased, or they are wrong and describe another place. It is directly uninhabitable. I don't know the legislation regarding tourist accommodation, but in Spain it would be closed. I have traveled to different places in the world, in very humble accommodations and I have never seen anything similar. Not even in the cheapest and most remote hostel. The most absolute dirt and decay, in addition to various insect infestations that appeared in the beds and the bathroom. While it is true, it is located near the beach, but it is one of the most crowded and neglected areas of Crete, so it is not a plus point. For the same price, there are options that truly have a 3-star rating. In our case, even showing the photographs of what we found in that “room”, they were not able to return our money. We have taken legal action against the intermediary company and the accommodation. It's a real scam. The photos they publish have nothing to do with reality.

Kom al voor de 4 e keer op deze mooie lokatie aan het strand. De familie Troulis en de dames van het ontbijt zijn erg aardig en behulpzaam. Ze hebben daarom ook heel veel vaste gasten dus dat zegt wel wat. Kamer schoon en ruim, winkels en bus op hele korte afstand en iedere dag een glimlach van Maria... Volgend jaar ben ik er zeker weer.
