We received 2 emails about our stay on the day of our stay. One was to tell us that check in after 7pm required special instructions. That email we received at 7:31pm and since we were driving at the time we didn't see it before arriving. My heartfelt thanks to the very nice lady who very patiently helped us. I wish I had known about the check in procedure 24 hrs earlier. Both emails should have been sent 24 hrs earlier. Also parking is not easy until you know how it works. There is parking on the street but good luck with that. For us the closest was 1/2 mile away. We planned to use their on site parking but it is not signed so there is no way of seeing it when you arrive, and there is nowhere to even stop outside the hotel. It made our check in rather fraught after a long day's drive. I would happily stay there again as the rooms are good as is the breakfast and it's an excellent location, but I'd recommend not using Odaly's website to make the booking if possible as it doesn't allow you to review your booking after it has been made.

Student dormitory. To the center on foot 30 minutes or 15 minutes by bus. The area seemed to me not very calm. In description the error was respiratory 24 hours a day, if you arrive at night, the documents will be issued only in the morning. The room is large, clean. The plumbing works. The breakfast is in value and very decent (muslies, cruisans, yogurt, oranges, cheese, butter, sausage).

We stayed for three nights when visiting the Somme memorials. Meaulte is a quiet village just outside Albert - the accommodation was first class and beautifully decorated. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was served in the main house and offers a variety of choices for a continental menu. Car parking in the enclosed courtyard. Service was friendly and efficient. Highly recommended.

The only bathroom was a problem with the shower that was screwing all over the bathroom and a ventilation that seemed not to work otherwise all the rest was perfect

GGuest UserThis hotel was great! Far, far better than its two-star rating would suggest. It was very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, the location was within 10 minutes of the main station in Amiens and another 10 - 15 minutes to the restaurants alongside the main canal. It was very quiet at night. There was only one possible downside. There are some major buildings being constructed nearby and work starts soon after 7.00am. I visited in mid-May 2023 and I would imagine building work will continue for at least a year, I didn’t find it a problem but I had to get up about 7.00am. There was quite a lot of machinery noise and vehicle reversing. It might be best to ask for a room on the side furtherest away from the building works.

PPau109We were looking for a stop over that was close to Calais after a weeks trip around France. I would certainly recommend Amiens for that. The Ibis in Amiens is a bit worn and needs a refit. I have stayed at Ibis hotels before and although budget, they are normally better appointed than this one. Despite this, our welcome was by far the best out of all the hotels we have stayed in during our trip. There is a car park at the rear which is quite an experience if driving a right hand side car. Very scary! Social distancing and covid precautions were good, indeed better than the five star hotels we stayed in. The room had a very comfy bed but all looked a bit dogeared. The bathroom was tired but the shower was great. In fairness, it was just what we wanted and expected. The Ibis is a five minute walk into the town. Great shopping and the light show at the cathedral at 10pm is a must. The restaurants by the river are great but do your homework as there are better and cheaper places to eat. We would return.

Nothing wrong with the hotel itself. I booked through *********** and had to give a credit card number. When we arrived we paid with a different card. The original card showed a pending charge so I questioned the staff and was told it would not be charged. The next day it was charges, so I informed them of it and was assured they would take care of it. 3 days later the charge was still there so I called them, and was told they would issue a credit to my account. Hasn't happened! I have a dispute pending with my credit card issuer. Also reported to ***********, who contacted the hotel. They refused to do anything. I've sent the proof of both charges and am hoping they can straighten this out. Horrible customer service!!!
