A brand new hotel. Sadly it has opened way too early. Building site. Exposed wires, bare earth, air conditioning not working, blocked drains, unmanned reception, horrific smell, wet and dusty floors and no mention of this on booking. Waited to check in as no one could be found. Lobby floors and corridors were wet and sticky. Our room floor was wet and sticky and bathroom floor did not dry during our entire stay. Rooms were tiny and very sparsely appointed. We were charged an additional €15 to park so beware. Given the state of the place it would have been a kind gesture to allow us to park without charge in the empty car park. I brought my concerns to the lady on reception and she said she would pass on my details and to expect a reply the next day - nothing! I subsequently emailed directly and received an unapologetic reply saying I should have mentioned my concerns during my stay, which I did. With this attitude I cannot recommend this hotel and even when works are complete it is still going to be a basic and soulless offering.

Just after saying good afternoon, they told me that I had to pay 200€ as a “deposit”. The receptionist told me that it would be returned when I left. When I tried to get her to explain the reason for a deposit, and asked her to please speak more slowly as my agility in understanding French was not very good, she answered me in English. I asked her to please speak to me in French more slowly and her reaction was to speed up her way of speaking. VERY RUDE The next day when we checked out, we demanded the 200€ and they told us that it would be paid to us throughout the day. We were not paid and the next day we explained this experience to the owner of the hotel Le Haut des Lys in Villandry and he very kindly contacted Manson Rabelais, and thanks to him they returned our deposit. In short, uneducated staff and personally I am left wondering if they wanted to charge me 200€ too much. As for the hotel, the quality-price ratio is very bad, in every sense. There is a lot to choose from in Amboise, and I chose badly, I was wrong. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT

Nous avons eu un très bel accueil ! mais arrivés à la chambre quelle déception !il faisait très chaud 26 degrés et nous n'avions pas de clim ni de ventilateur !! et même pas une petite bouteille d'eau... cela ne correspond pas à un 4 étoiles.La chambre est très simple et petite... Le petit déjeuner n'en parlons pas ... très décevant ainsi que pour le personnel qui nous disent à peine bonjour !! et pour la piscine très peu de chaises longues.

Nuovo hotel, scelto per proposta interessante e curiosità. Discreta colazione e piscina esterna utile. Staff cordiale ma impossibilitato a risolvere tante piccole e grandi esigenze che si possono avere in hotel. Hanno dovuto aprire prima che la struttura fosse completata. La hall è carina e le camere sarebbero belle se fossero più complete. Mancano armadi o modi di appoggiare o conservare gli abiti per esempio. Mancano prese corrente vicino ai divano letto. Manca areazione in bagno e l'umidità è restata sempre presente con il pavimento perennemente bagnato. I lavori in corso non permettono la pulizia duratura di alcun ambiente. Se avete bambini teneteli sott'occhio perché al momento ci sono zone non completate o fossi che rendono l'area esterna non sicura. C'è tantissima potenzialità e la cornice della città di Amboise è meravigliosa, quindi buona fortuna per il futuro.
