Steve and Caz are so friendly and helpful. They have a wonderful place, it’s not hard to see why their rating on here is what it is. The room that we stayed in was perfect. The bed was very comfortable. We can’t recommend this highly enough. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and set us up for the day. Hillsdale is located perfectly within Ambleside, for walks, food and drinks. We’ll see you next year Steve and Caz.

This is a first class B and B in the centre of Ambleside, can't recommend it highly enough. You will not be disappointed if you can manage to book a stay ,it's very popular! The hosts are SO friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Fabulous clean and delightful rooms all done to the highest standard. A delicious hearty breakfast with lots of choice and copious amounts of beverages. Enjoy !!!!!!

First time visiting with Caz and Steve as hosts. The rooms are very well presented, and the bed is so comfortable that I slept like a log during our stay at the B&B. The breakfasts are hearty and will set you up for most of the day. It's a good idea to go for a walk to burn all those calories. We will definitely be returning to stay at Hillsdale in the near future.

Great stay in every way. Steve the owner was very welcoming, ready to give advice if needed and nothing was too much trouble. Room was very well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast had great choices and was very generous. Really would highly recommend and would return there without hesitation

Caz and Steve gave me a very warm welcome and were eager to help with any requests. They were knowledgeable about the area and had lots of recommendations. The accommodation was excellent - the small details in the rooms made the stay first class. The place is spotless and the breakfasts used fine ingredients and were well cooked and served with care. The parking facilities were a short walk and an asset where town parking is in short supply.
