We have just returned home after another wonderful stay at Hillsdale, an excellent guest house in the heart of Ambleside. The hosts, Ste and Kaz are welcoming and attentive; nothing is too much trouble and they offer accommodation that is comfortable, spotlessly clean, with so many extra little touches that make staying here so special. Breakfast is tailored to suit everyone's taste and is delicious, hot and substantial. Great value for money and will of course be returning again!

From the moment you arrive and receive the warmest of greeting you realise you have made the right choice in booking Hillsdale B&B , room bright and extremely clean with lots of little homely touches ,breakfast choice is first class and is served perfectly and very tasty . See you again .

Absolutely perfect in every way. Location was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble, everything was spotless, breakfast was amazing. Owners so knowledgeable about the area. Happy to spend time chatting to you. A truly warm welcome to their home. There is nothing else they could have done to make it any better. Parking was a massive plus. Perfect b&b in middle of Ambleside, hosts very welcoming and organised and made our stay stress free and relaxing, hosts couldn’t do enough and the breakfast was lovely. Rooms quite small but very comfortable and decorated lovely and perfect for a base and relax in the evenings. Parking down the road which was ideal, also very easy to get the bus and close to resturants and pubs. Would defo stay again when visiting the lake district or would recommend to others.

We have been to Ambleside 5 times and this was our first visit to Hillsdale B&B, we had an absolute fantastic time. It is an amazing place with amazing hosts, thank you to Caz and Steve, you have a beautiful B&B, Beds where lovely and comfortable, breakfast was perfect and we will definitely be returning soon.
