Brantfell House

Amazing place to stay & great location too. We stayed in Room 5 & found the room to be even more spacious than the picture shows it to be. Couldn’t fault how clean the room & overall house was. Everything you could ask for provided in the room - numerous towels, body wash, TV, free WiFi etc. The morning breakfast was delicious & there were lots of options to choose from. And to top it off our hosts were great - so helpful, approachable & all round great people. Thank you so much for having us & we’ll certainly be back!

Adie and Mandy are superb hosts, friendly and welcoming. The rooms are spotless and every floor smells divine. Mandy your breakfasts are superb, the produce is excellent, really like the sausages! Special mention for Adie, you really do a mean cereal apparently, it's not easy I know! We will 100% be back again if you will have us! Andy and Sally

My two nights at Brantfell were excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable, and is located just a short walk from the many pubs, restaurants, and trails Ambleside has to offer. Our hosts made a delicious full English breakfast in the mornings and provided us with several great recommendations for things to see during our hikes. I would highly recommend Brantfell to anyone visiting Ambleside.

Very warm and friendly welcome from our hosts. The location was ideal, our hosts provided plenty of advice where to go. The room was very calm and tidy. It had all the facilities, including tea & coffee. Last but not least, breakfast was amazing! A wonderful experience I highly recommend!

I generally do not write a review unless something is extraordinarily good or extremely bad. It didn't surprise me that when I logged in to review this Inn that they already had a 5 star rating. It was an extraordinarily good experience. My friend and I booked a 6 day walking tour with a group where our luggage was carried from town to town and we hiked. We are so grateful that the first two nights of our journey began at Brantfell House with Aide and Mandy as it could not have been more perfect. They are the most gracious hosts I've ever stayed with in any type of lodging situation. Their meticulous attention to detail and to ensuring that their guests are thoroughly cared for is a welcome salve for someone who travels a lot and has missed such genuine interest and care. The room itself was like a warm blanket and the service was a 15 on a scale of 1-10. Yes, it truly was that good. If I'm ever fortunate enough to return to Ambleside, I would eagerly book here again.
