Super modern hotel with spacious rooms. Excellent location not too far from the train station or from the pedestrian zone. The hotel itself is an excellent value, but the breakfast is much too expensive for what it is.

The location of this hotel is great. The rooms themselves leave a little to be desired. There are no coffee makers, microwaves, or refrigerators. There’s extremely limited table space. The bathroom configuration is extremely odd to say the least. The toilet is separate from the shower area. The shower area is wide open to the rest of the room. Which is extremely odd. I am sitting here on a Saturday night, listening to disco music reverberate throughout our room from the rooftop. This has been going on for hours. Since the front desk staff does not stay past 2000 in the evening, there is no one to complain to. I would definitely not stay at this hotel again.

Another business trip - another hotel ( I think I overused this cliché) ... well I can tell you straight forward is more than just "another hotel". Last December I was on business trip in the city of Amberg so I was in need of accommodation and since this hotel was recommend - from more sources - I've asked my agent to book it. Here are the findings - the hotel is located at the beginning of a pedestrian street , however the guests can park in the hotels parking lot that is only a few steps away from the entrance of the hotel - so it is convenient from this perspective. The historical city center is a few hundred meters from the hotel - and very close there are restaurants, breweries and pubs ... well, there are also churches to be accurate and museums within walking distance. Front desk staff very friendly and professional - fast check in an check-out - everything went smooth from the perspective of interaction. Room - very spacious, one of the biggest rooms I had in the past 2-3 years in any hotel - except Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego - the furniture looked new and the room and bathroom were very clean. You don't have a "typical" bathroom - it is an open space in one of the corners of the room, with a walk-in shower, my favorite kind of shower booth. So from this perspective, jackpot! (to toilet is situated in separated smaller room - a nice thing to have this setup). Breakfast - was served at the last level overlooking the rooftops of the city , and in the evening you can checkout the Walkure Skybar - in the morning they serve breakfast there, in the evening they are mixing cocktails - a nice approach using the same space. Prices - I have to say very decent and with an excellent price to quality ratio. There is no doubt, it is a very good hotel , and should I go back to Amberg I would try to book the same hotel - I recommend you try it when you are in Amberg.

Very clean hotel minimalistic decorated in the heart of the city. Room spacious. Close to main attractions by foot. Late check in on demand, there is not 24h reception, but sky bar is very good, breakfast as well. Lack of hot water during the first night and no one to complain to because the reception is closed after 20.00 h.

Das Hotel hat uns auf den ersten Blick gefallen: von außen in einem wunderschönen alten Gebäude untergebracht, innen modern, gemütlich, schick mit viel Platz und ansprechendem bayrischen Flair ausgestattet. Vom Bahnhof aus ist es in wenigen Minuten perfekt zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß, Bett und Kissen waren wunderbar. Dusche mit Regendusch hervorragend. Unser Zimmer lag eine Etage unterhalb der Skybar mit herrlicher Dachterrasse. Und obwohl diese dank des warmen Sommerwetters und des Amberger Altstadtfests bis sehr spät (früh?) sehr gut besucht war und es recht laut war, haben wir in unserem Zimmer nichts davon mitbekommen! Die Bar mit Terrasse dient gleichzeitig als Frühstücksbereich. Das "interaktive" Frühstück bot alles, was man sich von einem guten Mittelklasse-Hotel wünscht. Interaktiv bedeutet hier, dass die Gäste sich ihr eigenes Frühstücksei mit allerhand Zutaten selber backen können. Da es recht voll war, war dies eine etwas längere Angelegenheit. Es gab aber auch ganz regulär Rührei und Bacon, ohne Wartezeit :-). Die Brot- und Brötchenauswahl war in Ordnung, sie hätten etwas hochwertiger sein können. Dies aber nur als kleiner Kritikpunkt. Mir als Teetrinker gefiel die Auswahl an verschiedenen hochwertigen frischen Teesorten sehr. Alle Mitarbeiter des Hotels waren unaufgesetzt freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Kurz und gut: Wir waren das erste Mal im Mariandl Hotel, werden aber auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, wenn uns der Weg ins schöne, idyllische Amberg führt.

Das Hotel bietet sehr schön eingerichtete Zimmer, welche auch recht groß sind. Sowohl Check-In als auch Check-out gingen schnell und problemlos. Alles in allem eine tolle Empfehlung für Amberg. Wo viel Licht ist, ist bekanntlich auch etwas Schatten. Daher hier zwei Punkte der Kritik (jedoch sehr hohes Niveau): 1. Frühstücksbuffet: Die Möglichkeit ein Omelett zum Frühstück zu haben ist toll, nicht toll ist, dass man sich dies als Gast selbst zubereiten muss. 2. Die Vielzahl der an den unterschiedlichsten Stellen untergebrachten Lichtschalter auf den Zimmern sorgt für etwas Verwirrung. Dies sind aber zwei Punkte, die nicht schwerwiegend sind. Der erste Punkt sorgt jedoch schon für den Abzug eines Sterns in der Bewertung, dies hätte den Eindruck einfach komplett abgerundet.

Der Empfang war total nett und freundlich - die Betten hervorragend - die Zimmer sauber, modern und zum Wohlfühlen - die Roof-Top-Bar ist auf jeden Fall mehr als einen Besuch wert - feines Frühstück - tolle zentrale Lage - wir sehen uns bestimmt bald wieder. Ambergmit dem MariandlamBerg ist eine Reise wert.

Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen und hat eine gute Erreichbarkeit. Der Empfand ist freundlich und zuvorkommend – man fühlt sich sofort wohl! Das Zimmer war wunderschön, komfortabel und modern. Sauberkeit ist mir persönlich wichtig und dieser Punkt wurde sorgfältig erfüllt. Frühstück gab es in der Skybar. Ich würde behaupten, es ist der beste Ausblick der Stadt. Die Auswahl an Gerichten ist gut und die Qualität kann man nicht bemängeln. Auch am Abend war ich in der Skybar. Hier kann man wirklich mal den Abend ausklingen lassen. Tolle Musik und leckere Cocktails, was will man mehr. Definitiv meine Empfehlung, wenn man in Amberg übernachten möchte.
