The sunset at Takahama Shiratsuru Beach was amazing. It was a great location to be able to go to the beach any time, morning or night.

The house we stayed in was a bit old, but the air conditioner was new and the bathroom and toilet were all state-of-the-art, so we had a comfortable stay. The kids also seemed to enjoy being able to run around in the spacious rooms.

I stayed here for two days in September 2023. After completing the reservation, I received an email with road information for the inn. I received a comment that the road was narrow, but it was possible for a regular car to pass through. Larger regular cars such as minivans and SUVs only have about 15 cm of space on both sides, and they may hit trees and other things along the way, so it is not recommended for those who are not confident in their driving. They lend out kayaks and SUPs for free, but they do not provide carts, so you have to carry them to the beach yourself. The beach is just a short walk down the slope, but the entrance along the way is complicated, and women who are not confident in their physical strength have a hard time carrying a two-seater kayak. You also have to carry it up the slope after playing. The inside of the inn is not clean, to put it mildly. There is no place to eat around. Therefore, self-cooking is the norm, but the kitchen drawers and refrigerators do not look clean. Since it is the countryside, I was prepared for bugs, but we were met with leeches, cockroaches, and bats inside the inn when we were relaxing at night, so it was a terrible two days and we left our rooms early in the morning.

It was the best place to stay for a day out in the ocean. The old house had a nice atmosphere. I'd like to stay here again.

The location is just a short walk from the sea! We had access to SUP and kayaks, so we had a blast in the sea during the day, and enjoyed BBQ and fireworks at night. The kids were very happy! The owner was also at a comfortable distance, so we felt at ease☆
