Grapevines Hotel

Arrived late shown to room ( smaller than normal room7) but no problem,small kitchenette ( normal for Greece ) as was shower,hot water and everything worked as it should view over pool comfortable bed , cleaners were absolutely fantastic spot on,the owner and her son very helpful and had a great night with Dennis watching the europa league final,only ate breakfast once which was good so can’t comment on food good location for beach and bars but nice and quiet on a night would I stay here again DEFINITELY

I am leaving an honest review with supporting photographs and videos. The original hotel is of very poor standard. Leaking sink that was repaired but still leaked, faulty electrics., overpriced €80 substandard airconditioning, toilet that needed cistern lid lifting to adjust ballcock with every flush. Corroded dirty cooking hob, small balcony with oversized table. Bare light with no glass shade. Arrogant staff. Dirty ring around the swimming pool. The list goes on. I am unsure where all the positive reviews are coming from. We booked this based on the reviews so I feel obliged to show the real truth. We stayed in room 13....obviously that should have been a red flag!

We had the best stay at Grapevines. We found it to be not only perfectly situated but a perfect base for our family during our holiday. It’s really close to bars and restaurants but was also really peaceful. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and we formed a great relationship with them and will most definitely be returning. My three year old said in the car just today “daddy where’s Denis?”. Thank you to Andie, Theo, Dennis & Costa for making us so welcome. See you again soon, Yamas 👍🏼

Great location. Close to shops, restaurants etc. 15 minute walk to a good beach. Very clean studio with towels and sheets changed frequently. Many of the guests knew each other as they are frequent visitors. Lovely pool with plenty of sun beds.

Recently returned from Grapevines and what a lovely experience we had. We arrived and got a very warm welcome with banter then help with taking our cases to our room. The room is typically Greek 2 star but spotlessly clean with white crisp bedding and towels( Couldn’t ask for more after the price they charge). We ate many times from the snack bar and the food was lovely. The pool area was great and more than enough sun beds to go around which is difficult to find in peak season, it’s a lovely calm relaxing atmosphere around the pool with many people who are happy to have a chat. Andy and her boys are lovely people and they make you feel so welcome also the cleaner work’s tirelessly day after day. Would I return absolutely no hesitation at all. If I had to mention any negatives It would be that the bathrooms need updating but if you wish to spend a bit more money then there’s a new block of apartments that are supposed to be lovely. Just a bit of advice and this had no thing to do with the apartments when you go to the main *****, which is only 5 minutes away you have to walk down a dirt track which makes your shoes filthy so make sure you have wipes or something to clean them with and I wouldn’t wear new shoes. Andy,the owner, and her sons are the best surprise of the hotel! Beautiful stay, very comfortable hotel and excellent breakfast. The hotel is kept very clean and close to the center nearby. We will come back again next year! Miss you all. Warm regards from Venezia
