Whilst we are still on holiday. I thought it’s a good place to write a review. On arrival Jordan on reception was at the top of his game and made sure we were well accommodated. Following on our room is spacious and comfortable with well serviced with the room cleaned and the towels changed. The negativity surrounding the food in the blue dining room being cold especially is a fair criticism from previous reviews and have made it clear to both the FOH team and a chef doing the temperature checks. It’s such a shame that the kitchen brigade is presenting good food and being let down by the server counters, possibly more batch cooking required. Nevertheless the selection and cold salad choices are good. Another negative is the supervisor Leider who is abrupt and clearly rude in her delivery to customers. The animation team work hard at delivering a good daytime and evening presentation and at times it dips but overall it’s well managed. The pool bar team is good and work tirelessly too reduce queuing, special mention to David, very good service. Overall it’s been a 100% better stay than Jet2’s Malta recommended holiday. Hotel 8/10 and would recommend. We spent a couple of nights in Alvor to avoid repetitive evenings, there’s plenty of choice and reasonably priced restaurants.

The hotel is very clean, the rooms are very spacious and tidy and the staff are all so helpful and friendly. Only a short walk to the nearest supermarket and in to the town centre. There is a courtesy bus to the gorgeous long sandy beach but this time of year there is not much happening!! A really nice place to relax and unwind.

Our room was ok for 4 people with crockery for only 3. Day 2 we were told we could no longer use the family dining room and sent to other dining. Around 30 under 14 football teams turned up and made it hell. Door knocking & running away, shouting and intimidating guests, leaving mess everywhere, getting in the way and throwing things on our balcony. Managers response was that they had chaperoned and it was a family hotel. Will never go anywhere near this hotel again. It was awful!!

We have just returned from this hotel stayed during October half term this has got to be the worst hotel we have ever stayed in when we booked we asked for a room near the lifts as my wife has mobility issues we were put right down the end of the hotel with a 3 minute walk to the lifts in a dark not very well lit corridor the only staff I can prise are the cleaning staff room was cleaned everyday the rest of the staff were rude and had a can't be bothered attitude the food on offer was very poor, cold and very repetitive in the end we decided to eat out after a few days the evening entertainment if you can call it that was very poor as well the hotel says it is trendy but it's very dark and depressing decor there ate many more negatives but would not have enough room to list them all I will never stay here again

Myself and my ten year old came to the Alvor Baía for half term holiday in October 2024. We had room 324. The hotel is an hour on the coach from the airport. It's a very impressive hotel in real life with the grand entrance. The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly, he gave us a leaflet which explained things at the hotel which was much appreciated. We were then given one of those annoying wristbands to wear all week. The room was great and so much better than I had anticipated and extremely clean. Room was cleaned and maintained daily. We took our travel kettle as advised. On floor -1 there are two restaurants, one for over 12's and the family one. You have to queue to give your room number, so once you're in, you can't keep going in and out. I thought the hotel provided an amazing selection of food and we certainly did not go hungry. The layout isn't great as you can't see what food there is further down the line and you end up stuck in a queue for ages unable to reach something a few feet down. The seating area was very packed, we found that one of us had to remain at the table at all times otherwise we'd lose our plates/table. Plates are sometimes taken away a bit too quickly when you haven't finished, but staff are working very hard in the restaurant area. Eventually we worked out the quieter times to go. Also people were not sanitising their hands when entering the restaurant and everyone touching tongs and dropping tongs in the food. I tried to sanitise my hands with the gel, but the bottle was empty every time. Our room 324 was out the front of the hotel, I think I had requested a quiet room and I am glad I did as the rooms out the back are next to music speakers and continuous noise and this would have spoilt the trip for us. So if you appreciate your quiet time, ask for a room out the front. We met some lovely people at the hotel and out and about on trips. There is a courtesy bus that takes you down to the beach, but it is walkable in 15 minutes. There is a huge supermarket a 7-10 minute walk away if you turn right out the hotel, along an off road track and then turn right at a flat block. Most people acted respectfully there, however on one night the parents a few doors down thought it was appropriate to play chase/IT/hide and seek up and down the corridor at gone midnight with their toddlers, thus waking everyone up. I mentioned it to reception the next day who apologised and said any further incidents to dial on the hotel room phone to reception and it would get sorted. I gave their room number and it didn't happen again. The pool area outside was amazing, just missing a slide or two. There was no lifeguard which I didn't like and notices all around advising to the fact. The entertainment wasn't great, in fact we went down most nights and didn't see anything. I have seen much better at other AI resorts. During the day it involves dunking water on people's head if they couldn't sing karaoke. The only things which could

The hotel isn't a great hotel at all. Bad points: Poor food choice Staff at reception don't really care Bed sheets made but never changed Lifts are awkward but stairs accessible but hard to find. Fire doors can be used to get around which is strange. Eating times is very strict and you aren't allowed to take food out and eat outside the pool and all drinks you have to queue for which sometimes is stupid. Good points: Breakfast isn't bad and is okay, lunches are good. Cleaners clean the room well and sometimes do washing up voluntary. The pool is big but pretty cold. Good location and football for the kids.

Definitely not a resort, more like a normal 3 star hotel. Food was mostly same every day with a little tweak which was worse then any all inclusive holiday I been to. Snack times were poor with morning food left overs and afternoon 4 to 5.30 with bits and bobs not a normal resort or hotel with longer snack time options. Fruit juices in machines were very watery. Fizzy drinks were good. Pool cold. Staff were good very attentive. Shuttle bus to beach on time can walk to town from there which was good. Took uber to shopping mall only 10mins ride. Definitely won't be returning for sure.
