Hotel was clean except the bathroom, the vent had a ton of dust on the vent above the shower, the toilet was dirty.
There is a design flaw with the shower allowing water to run down glass door all over the floor, because of that there was a loose tile on wall next to shower. The handle to the shower door was so loose it felt like it was going to break off. The food was pretty good except the sausage links were burnt. The pool was shut down do to maintenance. The rest of the stay was nice, rest of hotel was clean.

Had to visit my wife at Altoona UPMC driving in from Butler County PA. Came in late and tired. Wingate was wonderful.

We didn’t arrive until after dark, but the parking area was well lit and lended itself to feeling safe, especially in an unfamiliar city. The main lobby space was inviting, and the front desk staff person was quick and courteous. Check-in was a breeze, and we were able to get to our room, and right to the pool to enjoy some swimming with our kids!

Basic, just a room to stay to for the purpose I went to Altoona. The receptionist at the hotel was nice, provided the hotel details and made check in a breeze. Room was basic , serviced its purpose. Surprisingly the bed was comfortable and the pillows were soft ,a good night sleep is priceless. The hotel can use some updates, a lot of the fixtures, post, shower heads have turned colors, appearing to look filthy, The surrounding area is iffy. There is a head warm pool.

Nice new hotel downtown Altoona. Well kept area. Nice parking all around hotel. Rooms were nice. Breakfast was good, maybe could use a few more options. Plenty of restaurants within 10 minutes.

The facility is nice and very clean. The area around the hotel had homeless and noted drug activity ( similar to many inner city areaa). But, never felt unsafe.
